"I'd rather be selling groundnuts in my village than play for a pathetic club like Chelsea FC" - (Samuel Eto'o, 2004)

I dont know how far this true ! If this is true then its RB-II

Almost as true as , "Don't believe everything you read on the internet." - Abraham Lincoln. :P

I also read that he insulted mourinho and later played for him and now loves him more than any other coach, mou also said he'll coach liverpool back in 2003 but he's now a chelsea legend and absolutely loves us. No problem here B)

Thank God for the 3 week break I do not think Etoo and Willian are properly match fit. It will be like a mini pre season for them to get up to fitness with the rest of the squad

Willian already played 4 games for Anzhi this year (though last on 2th August). Etoo played 6 games (last on 24th August) - I don't think ther fitness will be a problem :)

Eto'o is a Cameroonian international striker who joined Chelsea on a one-year contract in August 2013. A highly successful and decorated player, he was won the UEFA Champions League on three occasions, twice with Barcelona and once with Internazionale, in addition to numerous domestic honours in Spain and Italy. He has also won two African Cup of Nations titles with Cameroon and has been named African Player of the Year a record four times: in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010.He scored his first goal for Chelsea on 19 October 2013 against Cardiff City, in which he gave Chelsea the lead. In Chelsea's home Champions League match against Schalke on 6 November, Eto'o scored twice in a 30 victory. In Eto'o's first league start of 2014, on 20 January, he scored his first hat-trick for Chelsea, earning the Blues a 31 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

You guys can say that two of the greatest African players of all time have donned Chelsea's blue. Even this geriatric version of Eto'o is surely better than Torres.

How many times have we said "If that chance fell to ANYONE but Torres, it would've been a goal."?

Well, this isn't just anyone, Eto'o was one of the best finishers in the game. And it's not like he used to fly by defenders for every goal he's scored. A lot was down to close control and being in the right place at the right time.

So even if he plays to 50% of what he was in his prime, it's x100 times better than Torres!
