The team will fly out to US tomorrow. No words on which players are going though. Don't think the loanees will follow as it seems a tad rush and their loan contracts don't expire yet. Expect the youngsters, maybe a number of them, to join in especially Cole, Cahill and Lampard have been allowed to leave after this game for England duties.

With such a small squad and so many games this season, we have no choice but to field a team of youngsters. Paulo will hopefully get a solid 90minutes though. Malouda? Marin?

Piazon is still on loan at Malaga. And La Liga ends on 1st June.

And as I said earlier, don't think the loaned players will follow. Seems a tad rush and their loan contracts wouldn't expire yet.

err hardly our strongest team! so do you think we will play our reserves out there? yeah because that would make alot sense! why would we have these games and make the effort to go out to America to not play some 1st team players? all of them will want to play and they all will play some part! no one is going to travel and not play.

Firstly, I didn't say that was our strongest team. Just questioning why put out such a strong team given the number of games we have played this season!

Secondly, just because we are going all the way to US, doesn't mean we have to play so many of these senior players. Looks likely that some youngsters will be joining in and it would probably be more of a mix and match team consisting senior and young players. Moreover, we would then be able to see some of these young lads in action and see how they fare. And not to mention, the likes of Luiz, Oscar, Azpi, Mata etc will all be playing in the Confederations Cup in June. Don't think there's any need more to flog them to death here when we should just rest them and not let them suffer any major burnt out especially with these players won't be getting much rest after the tournament as pre-season begins shortly after it.

why are you so worried about senior players playing around an hour or so in a friendly? its not like the games will be played at such a high intensity or the players will be under any pressure to perform! they can easily stroll around the pitch for an hour, hardly anyone will play the full 90, its not like these friendlies are going to destroy our players and burn them out! They are friendlies not cup finals! they are all fit and able to play! (apart from the injured players obviously)
