And in my opinion (and most people would agree) he is the best player in the world right now, and has been consistently for the past four years. Therefore, he did deserve to with it four years in a row. No one else has been anywhere near his form over the past four years. They shouldn't award it to someone else just because Messi already won it the previous three years.
