Slam Dunk 1,442
as if it was going to be that simple. Prepare for a saga.
Hutcho 8,443
Wow, that is a bit of a turn around. It looked done but now not so much. How things change. Not good. He would be a great signing so I hope he goes to us.
Jase 43,479
This will probably drag on and on a little bit like the Cahill transfer saga last January.
Hutcho 8,443
Demba ba to sign for us was taken off the bookies website but now it is back with us at 4/7... I sense this story isn't over but it will be a real shame if we don't get him.

Zola kinda blue 89
What I've read is chelsea were offering double his wages but ba want wants more and his agents fee aswell..yep!Last night Newcastle United striker Demba Baβs representatives travelled to London for talks with Chelsea in a bid to secure a move to Stamford Bridge for the Senegal International. This morningβs papers are full of information suggesting the move is on and the striker will at the club by the end of the transfer window.Whilst some reports suggest that the 27 year old is on his way to Chelsea for a scan, Sky Sports are reporting that talks last night were unproductive with Chelsea not prepared to pay what Ba is asking for.Chelsea were prepared to double his money by offering Β£80,000 a week, but his agents are alleged to have pushed for more. Therefore unless he is prepared to budge on his wage demands the deal could be off. They go further to suggest the door is now open for other clubs as they prepare to extend their options. The only place to be 11,313
He's a 27 year old striker in the prime of his career, on form and this might be his last big contract - dude's looking to get paid and we aren't the pushovers we once were. Problem is I don't know if the market is as strong for him as his advisors thinks it is.If he's seriously entertaining QPR or Liverpool, fuck him. If he's thinking about PSG then fuck knows how much they'll have to pay with their new tax laws. If it's Arsenal then that probably makes us getting Walcott a near-certainty.I'm going to wait 48 hours before I decide to start panicking. Hutcho 8,443
Well this is weird. Surely he would have only had a medical if the terms were agreed... So its very weird. Eventually we will get some news about what exactly happened. It will be a mighty shame if we don't get him an and he goes elsewhere... Obviously we shouldn't play ludicrous wage amounts but I don't know where you would find a player that good that cheap in terms of fee. Obviously we shouldn't play ludicrous wage amounts but I don't know where you would find a player that good that cheap in terms of fee.The main aim for us this transfer season is to get our deals done as soon as possible.Ba with the release clause can make this happen but if this transfer is going to get dragged till the second or third week of January then there is no point getting him.I've been saying in the other threads that we should make Lukaku reconsider his decision of staying at WBA.Lukaku would get the same opportunity that we are planning to give Ba and so there wouldn't be any issue of lack of game time. There would be no need of paying any amount for a striker we really need and the deal would be done straight away. This according to me is the best option.
