Fernando Torres

We can`t buy one unless Torres is sold.

Why not? If he doesn't want to go - and that's perfectly fine, I wouldn't walk away unless my money is paid either - then just don't use him; let him train with the reserves for a season like Malouda did. We can the hit on his wages; why should we let Torres potentially derail our entire season? We're one Costa injury away from being absolutely FUCKED.

According to TMW, practically an agreement has been reached with #CFC [not Torres yet] - loan with an obligation to buy next season #ACMilan

A quick google of TMW leads me to believe it stands for The Mortgage Works. What do they know? Terrible source. :Goober:

^ So basically we'd be selling him outright but this "loan with obligation to buy" would probably be more beneficial to Chelsea regarding FFP because the sale would then be included the 15/16 books.

Amazing if the club can pull this one off. We will almost certainly buy Mattia Destro or some other adequate second striker if Torres goes and with such a signing the squad would be completed 100%.

I don`t think that the club can afford to have someone with over 170k salary in the reserves...

simple math here... We pay him 16m for him to leave, we receive his transfer fee - as he won't be on huge wages because it means he'll be receiving from two different clubs, we can ask a bit more than we would. Anything above the 16m is enough, even if we call it even. Just let this guy go. If I had money, I'd make a personal donation.

We absolutely can. He missed training. Mourinho has made it very clear he wants 3 strikers, he wouldn't let one just go gallivanting around Spain on the piss.

He's gone, certain of it.

in the CTV interview after the match Mourinho confirmed the players were given the Sunday off. So he was off Saturday and Sunday, enough to fly to Ibiza, we can't just assume he missed training...

Sky Sport Italia claim that AC Milan have had talks as they bid to signFernando Torres. However, the Chelsea striker would prefer a permanent move and not a loan, making a deal difficult. His agent would have asked for a three-year deal with the Rossoneri, considering his client is tied to the Blues for another two seasons.

On SSN's transfer thingy
