and then people say torres was not given a fair chance. 3 and a half years of shit and people STILL think its our fault. i can only hope that alex was being sarcastic.

as for reading some of the sympathy torres is getting on the page before, i jus am baffled. so we should empathize with him cos he is earning 10mil a year and doing fuck all for it!!!

If Torres went to a club that could cater to him, and build their entire system around how he plays, he'd easily score 25 a season. He is as good a finisher as Aguero or Costa, the difference is those guys got about 5 chances a game last season - Torres was lucky if he got even one. We've killed Torres, the fact he continues to show glimpses of how good he can be is testament to that. I want him to leave for the betterment of his own career, because he is still a brilliant striker.

Now that your opinion is finally in the open, do you feel better? Is it like a weight has been dropped from your shoulders?

Has this confession changed your life already?

2 years ago I would have said you lost it...when he arrived here I was one of his biggest detractors, and absolutely hated it when he started games over Drogba.

But after the Benitez season and the last one, I can see that Torres' poor record is not entirely his fault. Service has indeed been appalling. Granted he doesn't have the same fitness and the man has missed plenty of guilt-edged chances during his time here, but that's typical of any forward who hasn't settled into a good run of form or games for that matter..he really is a confidence player. The change from being labelled as top 2 or top 3 in the world to almost championship level flop is not easy for any player to take.

And yes, it would be better for him to pack off to another team though I suspect Mourinho rates him for his work ethic (yes I think he actually does) and wants to use him as a utility player.

I don't even mind him staying as Costa and Fabregas both seem to have a good relationship with him and could make him feel better. He knows he's been a failure but at least he's still trying to help us and do a job for us. He's not moaned much and has always mentioned how grateful he is to the fans for the support he's received in the 4 years he's been here. It's a squad game, he wants to play and he wants to help.

We've all slated him, there's 700 pages of it. Nothing will change.

This game proves exactly what torres is!!! Can't score if his penis is on the line for it!!!

I have said it before and I ll say it again. Having costa , dd and torres as our 3 options is a recipe for disaster. It WILL come back to bite us in the ass.
