Nah, not really.

Still looking at some of the goals in that video he's still doing things that aren't reminiscent of a killer instinct. For example, his last goal of the season against Cardiff (at 7:07): why the fuck is he taking that extra touch? Why isn't he just chesting it and smashing it first time? He does that the majority of time (overcomplicates the simplest of things) and either ends up fucking it up or getting tackled/blocked. It's the same for his second at Schalke (at 2:26); on another day he gets tackled at the last second by that defender (who nearly gets him) or his shot gets saved.

If this was 2012 I might hold some hope for him on simply eliminating that stuff from his game, but not now unfortunately.

Exactly, not to mentioned that Red Card more easily given in PL than La Liga, right? He must be careful indeed, one headbutt and he will be red carded and at least 3 match suspension, also there is FA who could make it worse. While in La Liga he might only just given yellow card.

He hasn't gotten even one RC while there and if anything I believe the referees are way softer in La Liga than EPL - soft in the meaning that they give fouls and cards more easily. The slightest contact is called a foul and therefore what here wouldn't even be labeled as a foul, there could even get a player booked.

2 years ago I would have said you lost it...when he arrived here I was one of his biggest detractors, and absolutely hated it when he started games over Drogba.

But after the Benitez season and the last one, I can see that Torres' poor record is not entirely his fault. Service has indeed been appalling. Granted he doesn't have the same fitness and the man has missed plenty of guilt-edged chances during his time here, but that's typical of any forward who hasn't settled into a good run of form or games for that matter..he really is a confidence player. The change from being labelled as top 2 or top 3 in the world to almost championship level flop is not easy for any player to take.

And yes, it would be better for him to pack off to another team though I suspect Mourinho rates him for his work ethic (yes I think he actually does) and wants to use him as a utility player.

I don't even mind him staying as Costa and Fabregas both seem to have a good relationship with him and could make him feel better. He knows he's been a failure but at least he's still trying to help us and do a job for us. He's not moaned much and has always mentioned how grateful he is to the fans for the support he's received in the 4 years he's been here. It's a squad game, he wants to play and he wants to help.

We've all slated him, there's 700 pages of it. Nothing will change.
