Fernando Torres

Is it even worth the time complaining about Torres anymore?

Apart from his shitness today (as usual), it also highlights the problem playing him upfront against defences that sit deep. Completely went AWOL when Palace did that after going 1-0 up and became even more garbage after that!

Let's not forget how much Torres helped us for the UCL title. But yeah today and this season generally he is awful, it seems that when he plays an league game he is awful, but when he plays a UCL game he is much better.

Could have rounded the keeper/ crossed in the box / shoot first time but no, he spins around and "chips". Torres mate. I have ran out of prayers for you. No any good runs behind the defense.

Aside from bottling one of our best chances in this match to score a goal he wasn't really worse than the rest of the team.

It's sad day where most of our squad reaches Torres's level - while we are chasing a Title

I don't really get Mourinho. He complained about Torres' performance (albeit by not saying much) but yet took Schurrle off instead of him when the former look more lively and threatening than Torres ever was! Worst of all is that Ba came on for Schurrle but the former was stick out wide and Torres continuing in the centre.

LOL I literally just remembered that Ba came on! He can't have had more than 4-5 touches of the ball.

 Find it cringeworthy when people are trying to give Torres credit for us winning the Champions League..

He contributed to the equalising goal, is about as much as anyone gives him credit for.

Anyway his transfer has quite simply held the club back financially for three years now. We're finally approaching a point where we can actually sell him without it fucking us over financially and there seems to be a real desire to get rid of a lot of the dead wood we've accumulated. Torres needs to be at the top of that list.

There are people who have overstated it as though he was the one who delivered the corner, scored the equalizing goal and the winning penalty and conveniently forget the tantrums he threw after the game..
