Bad attitude on Sub AGREED but after the Newcastle game, most pple said torres is getting back to his best Imo he actually gradually is. He had a decent individual effort saved in the first half and I bet even falcao will b complaining if he had Bert. and rambo as his creative attackers. Sturridge will have his chance and i bet against a lesser opposition den u will all see that he is not yet good enough/ready to b chelsea fc No. 1 striker. The experience torres has alone murders sturridge. WTF luiz suarez just only got his second league goal 4 Lfc not to talk about balotelli who hasn't even notched a goal yet with all d attackers lined up behind dem consistently. Torres has 2 goals and a penalty assist the second best to wizard Hazard 4 Cfc in d league. I still believe he will be decent this season. Who is to say if we didn't hve torres last season we would have won the champions league...HE IS JUST HARD TO HATE and will soon put a superb performance to throw more confusion about him against JUVENTUS. LMAO

Torres has now played two shit games after that Newcastle match so all games combined that makes probably more bad performances than good ones.

Liverpool are shit and not competing for the same positions with us so mentioning Suarez is irrelevant. Also, Suarez is not your typical goalscoring striker but rather an excellent creator and a dangerous player nonetheless, it's not his problem if Rodgers can't assemble the team to suit his strengths but instead he insists on playing Suarez as the main striker which is pointless because he's known to be a bad finisher. Balotelli is like the fourth choice striker for Man City so I fail to see your point there. Our fourth choice is probably Lucas Piazon and he hasn't even got a game yet. City have both Tevez and Dzeko scoring goals, not to mention they still have Agรผero coming back from injury in a few weeks. It's ridiculous to compare our strikes with theirs because they're clearly miles ahead of us. Torres is our undisputed number one at the moment and you compare him to a rival's benchwarmer. Don't know if that tells me more about Torres or your own expectations, which seem to be rather low...

Don't know about you, but to me Torres walking off before the final whistle gave a pretty clear indication that he doesn't give a fuck about the club or us fans for that matter. Hard to stand up for a guy like that, especially if he plays like shit.

Well I respect what that indicates to u.

To me it just indicates he was pissed off and needed to leave... after all he was subbed, it's not like he just walked off the pitch during the game....no biggie.

RDM PLEASE START STURRIDGE BEFORE OUR SEASON IS GONE. NANDO IS JUST NOT THE STRIKER HE USED TO BE. CHELSEA NEEDS A CONSISTENT STRIKER NOT ONE WHO WE HAVE TO SEND A PRAYER UP BEFORE EVERY MATCH HOPING HE SHOWS UP. FACE IT NANDO IS HISTORY LETS DO LIKE RODGERS AND CUT OUR LOSES AND MOVE ON.

What irritates me the most is Torres attitude, not his shit performance. Nando wasnt showing quality touches for 18 months (even when we played great), it definetly wouldnt improve in two bad games. What pisses me off is his unwillingness to improve, to give his heart on the pitch and to care about his teammates/fans.

When things are not going right you must do a little bit more of everything: run an extra yard to fight for the ball, stand up and stop asking for fouls, cheer in the bench, etc. He simply gives up...

I usually highlight the lack of support that he gets and clearly believed he would succeed. However, that sparkle of hope I felt is gone.

I dont know with I'm overreacting but I think Torres lack of care against QPR opened my eyes!

He was rightfully mad at the ref today..

Im not really talking about the refs overally performance today but the attitude Torres has shown since he came to Chelsea. He has lost a lot of possesion and always blame the ref for everything.

not since he came to chelsea nando has always been this way since coming to the premier league.. players that come from spain that play with flair are used to getting calls for the slightest touch

Stop standing up for him Beirut it's really annoying because what he did was so clear. We have basically signed a squad full of playmakers to help this guy score and to play well but he seems to think it will come to him on a plate without him working hard. He keeps running into 3 defenders and loses the ball constantly, he then walks around the pitch not even bothering to close the space. The guy doesn't get involved in the game and that is hard to take for a club that has had Drogba for the last 8 years (probably only Tevez compares with Drogba when it comes to getting involved in the game as a striker) you must understand. No Chelsea striker has ever had as much support as Torres has when it comes to the bleeding management not signing a striker because they know he'll pooh his pants at any sign of competition. The supporters have given him support constantly since he arrived and the players around him are working like dogs to put it on a plate for him but what can you do when you have a striker that isn't moving off the ball and breaking his neck to get on the end of things ?

I don't want to defend torres but although we signed squad full of playmakers but RDM always play only 1 or maximum 2 playmakers :D

Torres is just really an enigma right now. At times, he looks to be really interested in the game and others, he just doesn't seem to bother at all. His goals are just papering over a huge crack and it only served to give him some respite from time to time. What really frustrates me at the moment about Torres is that whenever he's on the ball, he always tries to take 2-3 players on by himself thinking like he's Messi or something. And more often than not, he always, ALWAYS loses the ball. People always talk about how our midfield can't keep the ball, can't keep it simple, Torres should also be blamed for that. He doesn't want to keep it simple by passing the ball to a nearby teammate and maintain the possession and because of such silly action, we would always find ourselves getting caught out on the counter, needlessly!

I've said it once before but Torres reminds me of Heskey. Not in playing style or anything, but in my mind they fit into the nichรฉ of "Striker that are afraid to shoot". I feel he tries to make sure that every shot results in a goal rather than taking a pot shot like nearly every other foward in the world would do. I think he is afraid of failure and afraid that his finishing will be called into question. It's hard to criticise his shooting when he doesn't take too many shots.

He has been wrecked, psychologically and mentally!
