🇪🇸 Fernando Torres

From what I saw, Llorente and Soldado are player more able to keep the ball than the 50 million pound striker. You gotta give to the latter man a good ball, perfectly dosed in defender's back etc... to make him usefull. The two others aren't this one dimensional.

Very true.. Yet Del Bosque continues to snub.

This is getting more ridiculous day by day. First his team mates don't suit him, then neither Spains style or Chelsea style suit him. What utter lies.

Yes, a 30-50m player is incapable of any basic football ability :P

Your saying Torres has no basic football ability? Just because he hasn't scored tonnes of goals for Chelsea!

Why do people forget that Torres hasn't actually had a decent run of games starting as the Chelsea spearhead! Yes he hasn't scored alot of goals which is why we purchased him in the first place but he has contributed to a fair few wether it be through assists or build up involving passing and movement. In fact his Movement is still exceptional! When he was getting the run of games around the United Loss he was starting to look like Torres of old then the twat got a 3 match ban. He has been incredibly unlucky on the pitch and off, the media have hounded him. For you to say he something so carless is poor support seeing as Torres is one of our own. We should back him till his Chelsea end!

^ He can't even adapt himself to our playing style, do you really think he can adapt or suit Barça playing style ? It isn't science rocket to understant why he can't..

ps : granted you're new here, but I never once in my life said he was poor because of his team mates...

What I am saying is:

People are making excuses for HIS poor form

-it's not his Chelsea teammates

-it's not his Spain teammates

-it's not our styles

It's his mental fckng block and if he can't get over it he has no future in the top tier of football. The end.

Torres is neither as bad nor as good as people claim him to be !!

He had great 3 seasons with Liverpool and showed what he is capable of , he had a bad spell during his start with CFC but he started to improve and had a very good run before his red card against Swansea city , i remember everyone (including me) back then claiming that it was only a matter of time before El nino is back but then Drogba took his chance and placed Torres on the bench.

i will still wait for January when Torres gets 2 or 3 full games ,before i judge him but i still think that there is still life in our number 9.

Thinking back to my comment a few days ago i think i was too hasty to say we should cash in this January.

He has to stop this trend of one step forward two back all the time.

Signs for Chelsea (step forward), horrific debut (two back).

Decent ish performances in March (step forward), stinker in the CL at Old Trafford (two back).

Finally scoring against West Ham (step forward), his IMO 3 biggest stinkers in a Chelsea shirt against Spurs, Newcastle and Everton (two back).

Decent display against Stoke (step forward), horrendus displays against Norwich and Sunderland (two back).

Goal at Old toliet (step forward), open goal miss (two back).

Goal against Swansea (step forward), red card (two back).

Double against Genk (step forward), stinker against Le Arse (two back).

With Villa injured and Drogba off to the ACON shortly this 2012 (the first half) will be a vital year for Torres.

AVB apparently not looking for a striker in January which definitely would give Torres another chance. But with Nico and possibly Malouda/Kalou leaving, I can't help but feel that we would be short of options in an injury crisis. Maybe not an actual striker, but a very versatile attacker in the mould of Aguero, Neymar, Hazard (though not those exact players ofcourse, too expensive)
