We Hate Scouse 10,326
I want Aguero! Same, but I wouldn't complain if we did get Torres.
Manuf 1,448
Same, but I wouldn't complain if we did get Torres.I wonder if buying Torres have something to do with us trying to reach Kaka. Because it will be strange to play 4-3-3 with 2 strikers that don't play on wing although I know that Drogba could be able to play there. But with Kaka Ancelotti could finally play his beloved 4-diamond-2 and I wonder how this would work out.
diskoviolente 425
I´d take Torres any dayhe might be a little bit of an injury prone, but that only because he is never fully rested at Liverpool with only one real striker upfront. If he joined Chelsea he would have the time to get fit, because we wouldn´t relay on him like the Scum.In Torres and Sturridge we might have a perfect striker-partnership which could replace Drogba and Anelka one day. Kostas 1,468
Chelsea boss slams door on World Cup winning strikerCarlo Ancelotti has closed the door on Chelsea signing Fernando Torres this summer, saying “We don’t need him” Asked following Chelsea’s 1-0 over Crystal Palace this afternoon the Italian categorically slammed the door on the Double winners signing the World Cup winning striker. “Nothing has changed from when I said before we did not need another striker. “I have Salomon Kalou, Daniel Sturridge, we don’t need any more strikers.” Ancelotti also has coming back from the World Cup his two main strikers Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka. Before Ancelotti had a chance to elaborate, a Chelsea spokesman piped up that: “the club did not comment on speculation”. Now that might be what Ancelotti believes to be the case, but it’s the opinion of the football board that ultimately counts so until Torres states he does not want to come to Chelsea or signs for someone else or a new contract with Liverpool, Chelsea fans can continue to believe that the Blues might yet see Torres in Chelsea colours sooner rather than later. Ancelotti added: “I am happy with this squad – it won the Premier League and FA Cup last season. “As for the Champions league, we will do our best – we do not need to change anything.”Source:Chelsea-Mad.co.uk So the last time he said something like that was in January when we didn't sign anyone.I guess that rules out us buying either the the ladyboy or Aguero

eldo 868
He would be stupid if he has said yes we need Torres and maybe Aguero too. Then he would end up empty-handed.

Steve 10,227
Wow your English is horrendous ! Give him a break dude, he is trying. I understand what he is trying to say and he is right. We have never really signed players for massive amounts. But we spent alot of money on seperate players. Of course there is those couple of players in which we did spend big. But i think Roman learnt from that.
danwkb 11
Hodgson – Torres doesn’t want to stay with Liverpool!Posted on July 25, 2010 by adminThe new Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that he has spoken to the Spanish striker Fernando Torres, and says the hitman is very unhappy with the Liverpool club as a whole, and there is little he can now do to persuade him to stay. Torres has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, or possibly Man City, and the two clubs will certainly be heartened by today’s admission.“Unfortunately, I cannot do much more,” said Hodgson. “His beef is with the club and not me.”“Fernando’s situation has nothing to do with me, he made that perfectly clear over the phone during the World Cup and when I met him face-to-face.“He knows what I would like to do with the club. He knows how much I value him.“But his issues are with what has gone on in the past rather than the future. If he has problems with the club for things in the past, it is difficult for me to dismiss that.”But Hodgson also said that he hoped that Torres would still honour his contract with the club, despite his misgivings. “People forget he is a Liverpool player,” he added. “One year ago he signed a four-year contract. I hope he will commit himself by honouring his contract.”http://justchelsea.com/hodgson-torres-doesnt-want-to-stay-with-liverpool/2363
chrismada9 1,948
This is very interesting indeed! Of course the big question is... knowing of his injury, are we going to go in for him? Or are we just going to bid for Neymar?

Duppy Conqueror 1,534
despite the fact it looks like Torres wants out of Liverpool..with him still having 3 years left on his contract,Liverpool still hold the ace card and can refuse all offers for him under the price they value him at..which is probably £50 million.i really don`t like him..but just like Cristine Ronaldo, although i think both should have gender tests like that South African runner did last year...they are talented footballers..so wouldn`t be totally against us making an offer..but with his injury history in recent years, i`d only be happy with us offering about £14million which is clearly not enough for Liverpool to accept ,so it`s a non-starter for me.he`s good when healthy, but he`s not the only good forward on the planet and pretty much all the other good ones are more durable than him.
