  1. 1. Rafa Out?

Recommended Posts

How do we know? we could have nosedived like his WBA team did. Maybe that's what Roman was worried about.

Personally if Robbie stayed i reckon we would have got to the League Cup final but in the league we would be 4th or below. So basically it depends on what you wanted, top 4 or cup wins?

chelsea under rdm played 12 points 24

chelsea right now played 23 points 45

so, chelsea under FSW played 11 points 21

simple mathematics shows that chelsea were better or at the least as good or bad under rdm than we are under FSW..

seriously dude??? when did u get back to your senses... i remember u being totally pro-fsw..

Probably after the qpha debacle ;) That was comedy. People were pissed after that loss. Then the loss to Swansea was the straw that broke the camel's back. Don't worry people, secret agent rafa has more matches to sabotage for us. We still have a match @ anfield. We already know the outcome of that one <_<

Yes on the face of it that it true, but would Robbie have kept up the same results or would we have nosedived the same way his West Brom team did?

With Rafa we knew what we were going to get, which is basically the pattern of results we have got, Robbie we could have either kept up the pattern or nosedived and Turin was a very worrying sign of what might have been to come, to say the least.

Hey, I wasn't totally Pro RB - I just though he deserved a fair chance!

Well he's had that chance and countless others! Now - I just don't like him pure and simple. He's done nothing to convince me he's a great manager...

As in life, the true test is, if it was your money would you hire him and sorry, I wouldn't... I'd have someone like Nigel Adkins in a heartbeat over Rafa....

I'm happy with Rafa's work so far :D

Not brilliant, but no awful either. FA Cup aside, we are out of the trophy races, but we are still doing alright in the league, and out football is mostly interesting to watch. I want us to finish 3rd or 2nd and then finally bring Jose home and end all this bullshit. Sell Torres also and cut all out bloody ties with Liverpool...

Why sack him ffs!? Who would you bring? And what if he starts doing bad also? Sack him also?

I really hope you're joking. Because if you compare us to the rest of the top clubs in Europe, we play the slowest and the most boring and unattractive football. Besides, Benitez hasn't improved this team one bit. After the club assigned him they released a statement on the official club's website saying "This decision was made so we can keep moving on the right direction" or something like that. Right direction my arse, this is anything but right direction. Robbie won us two trophies in less than two months in charge, on the other hand it took Benitez that long to get us knocked out of two competitions.

I had high hopes when I learnt that Roman chose him as Robbie's replacement and I was actually kind of optimstic, but now I can't wait for this season to be over.

What makes you think you really understand those tactical problems ?

Like everything, that's MY opinion on the tactical failings of our line up and approach to games.

If we play through the middle ALL of the time and have no Plan B, the opposition can easily contain us, and they don't have to be top quality opposition! QPR, West Ham and Swansea have figured us out and they have 3 pretty sensible and astute managers, Redknapp, Allardyce and Laudrup - not the best coaches in the world, but smart enough to figure out our game plan!

The fact that we played better in the first leg, pretty much proves this point - Laudrup would have studied that match over and over and tey then worked on an approach to 'contain' us - which they did well.

Yes, our players didnt play well - but was that a sudden loss of form in the whole team, or were Swansea playing a disruptive game, that prevented our players, playing to their strengths? If AS I BELIEVE (MY OPINION) that was the case, then it was up to our Manager to anticipate that and mix it up, to defeat their preparations!

But that's my point - we have nothing else, other than Rafas predictable line-up... He could have brought Luiz on earlier, played a 3 man defence, swamping the midfield. Instead he performed LIKE FOR LIKE SUBSTITUTIONS! = GENIUS :)

But hey, if you think that's shit - happy to see your 'thoughts' on our failing to beat a mid table team over 2 legs :)

just one difference,i m guessing his wba team dint have the likes of mata, hazard, lampard... and if past is the only way to judge a person then i would like u to remember a more present past which was 19.05.2012... that is RDM being the CL winning manager... a very conviniently forgotten point when people are debating over rdm's credentials and if he was good enough...

the only difference between us was that i dint need to give the FSW a fair chance to know that he sucked and was a piece of crap and absolutely worthless.

also i can see that u have an ongoing argument with the bushguy (name changed not so subtly)...a word of advice - please ignore because arguing with him is something like this :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Since you have not hired Rafa or could have, then why do you bother so much to insult him here ?

Well as Chelsea fan, my money on merchandise and attending games goes to the club, so YES I am paying for him, also devoting all of my spare time to watch Chelsea play, suffer the frustration of shitty web streams when not on Sky or UK ESPN...

So my investment into Chelsea - allows me to judge his performance - and as an investor, I'm not impressed...

Haha cheers dude - but always give someone a chance is my motto :)

Ahh @Bushman - hey it's my opinion vs his - I enjoy the debate - nothing serious, think he likes playing Devils Advocate which is cool, helps me refine my opinions and attempt to articulate them :)

Alright, didn't know about two of you but having this cocky tone towards Bushman is still not acceptable, not even Bushman, he does not accept anyone with slightly different opinion, but it's his loss i guess. Other than that I'm fine mate, will stop posting on this subject not to stir up unnecessary debates..

Because the league was the bread and butter, we needed a top 3 finish this season (still do) and Robbie's record in league football leaves a lot to be desired, which includes the CL group stage as that sort off is a league.

If we were looking to win cups before anything else this season (which included a top 3 finish) then yes we could have used his cup credentials.

firstly , dont get y u r getting involved.

secondly, i m not judging any1. some people have a problem when it comes to their own opinion... what ever u say will never be good enough for them even if they are totally and blatantly wrong and saying it in general (world wise where people would do anything to hold on to their opinion) and not just about one particular person here. arguing and debating is somethin not what every1 is good at. moreover i dint insult any1 by using any kind of foul language or i dint say anythin against that person's character. all i said was "arguin with him is like banging your head on the wall"... if u find that derogatory to a fellow user or something of that sort, then well i dont care because i dont think i did anything wrong... i have seen the kind of shit that is written here and towards each other (go to lampard or torres thread), and this statement of mine would not make the cut anywhere...

I agree - but an 'Interim' Boss doesn't carry the same weight as a 'Real' Boss...

One question - would you rather Mourinho or Rafa motivating the players for the Swansea game to overturn a 2-0 deficit?

Therein lies my dilema - I just can't see Rafa giving that passion... :(

Given the occasion, if the players can't even motivate themselves and needs to be motivated every time by the manager, then they need to have a look at themselves. And maybe they really need to. Yesterday wasn't the first time the players have not performed this season in the big games where we really needed them to stand up and be counted.

Think it has just reached a point where everyone just wants to blame Benitez for anything and everything that goes wrong here even though other parties are to be blamed as well.

Not rating Rafa is one thing, but Hoddle doing better? we might aswell put McLeish on our next shortlist while were at it.

IMHO Hoddle can do better rafadyce. One thing I will give props for rafadyce is the fact he knows how to create a mid-table side. If you want to add McLeish to your list, then be my guest. I won't add him to mine though ;)
