  1. 1. Rafa Out?

The way I saw it. Plenty of chances were offered but none scored. Had those chances were converted, we would not question his choice of players, then.

had the chances against juve being taken by mata and hazard,or by sturridge against wba or if oscar and mata had converted their one on one in the liverpool match, we would not have had this thread as rdm would still be our coach. so lets not go into "what if we had taken our chances" because when u keep torres as your main striker u take the gamble without saying that u r going to have awkward moments with him.

anyways the main point is benitez made some basic blunders that day and he no doubt realized it because after that luiz has played all 3 games in the pivot etc etc.

We created more chances than them and probably should've scored but they clearly prepared for it better as they were out there longer.

Ultimately they were a valuable couple of games to work on the team and get them playing a new way. Since then we've improved but it's too early to judge, but let's not go overboard on what is essentially a Mickey Mouse cup.

As we all know the game in Japan is not well regarded among players. Perhaps, the boys were not up to it ?

To blame Rafa because the players did not score, seems a bit odd to me.

if the players were not upto it then i am sorry to say IT IS RAFA'S FAULT. we were playing in a final. a manager/coach is supposed to keep his players hungry for suxh matches, infact particularly for such matches. the "players were not upto it" excuse simply backfires.

hahahah ,mickey mouse cup? really? and who makes a team play in a "new way" in a final of any tournament, be it mickey mouse or minney mouse or donald duck... these excuses are rubbish. rafa made blunders on that day - FACT. he is doing a good job for now - FACT.

but to defend rafa's tactics on that particular day is well just being prejudiced.

as for chances created please read my previos post's first part. we had created more chances in most of rdm's last games but chances dont win u matches, goals do.

Rafa has instituted a different way of playing since he arrived - the CWC matches were important in allowing us time to do that. We weren't clinical enough but honestly it's not something that has played on my mind that much. The improvement since has been far more important.

the clinical is just being over exagerated in my opinion. except for the torres chance in the last minute which he should have scored, i think their goalkeeper was brilliant. the moses curler, the torres header and some other were world class saves. and we as chelsea fans cant underestimate the importance of the goalkeeper (barca and bayern). plus the chances were in the 1st half, the 2nd half was a poor performance.

improvement is their for every1 to see but his tactics will come under a great test this weekend, against a good manager and against a good team. so how much we have improved, i would like to answer that question only after the everton match.

May I remind you Rafa is the coach & not the one who scores goals. Players are responsible for scoring, simple as that.

He came to Chelsea when the club was in bad form. Ever since, he made them better, the results are there for us all to see. So far, so good, I feel.

If you're going down that route then it's the players who've scored 14 in 3 since Japan, not Rafa; thus they deserve all the credit, not Rafa.

Didn't Corinthians' keeper get MOTM in that game? On another day we win that but we just didn't have luck on our side. If it was an important trophy I'd probably be a bit more pissed but as long as the improvement continues it was just a stepping stone to get back in the title race (hopefully).

Any trophy is nice to have, I feel. However, the team is just getting better & better, lately.

Since so many games are played, the team can not be up for them all. Some you win, some you don´t.

For me PL, CL, FA & perhaps Carling Cup are important. Mavbe even Europa league, not sure here. Thursdays games & then Sundays just might be too much to overcome.

If Rafa can help the team in winning FA or Carling just to save this season, Chelsea qualifies for CL I just might be satisfied...?

My biggest wish is to see the club playing games that I can watch & be proud of the team. No more of that park the bus shit, for me.

then y should he get the plaudits for the results and improvements. its the players who have scored the goals and won us 3 out of 3 sunce the japan fiasco.

and maybe you can become benitez's whore or is it only for him that u r supporting us. now i know the first person out of this forum when benitez gets a kick on his ass at the end of the season.

The difference between you and me is that I want Chelsea to win and be Champions. You want them to lose and crash out because of your irrational hatred of Rafa whom you know very little about. You keep trying to make the case that it was Rafa who failed at the CWC but if the team had won you would have been the first to say Rafa had nothing to do with it and that it was really RDM victory. That's what Mourinho said when Rafa won the CWC at InterMilan It's what Ferguson said the day Rafa was appointed to Chelsea. You can huff and puff all you wan,t the fact is that Chelsea offered Rafa the job - he accepted it and he is now part of the club. If you want Mourinho go and support Real Madrid or whichever team he finishes up with once he gets the sack. It won't be Chelsea.

suppose we were in the cl now and got barca... do u actually think we can even give them a fight if we dont "park the bus and shit" as u said...

first of all that statement was not for u and y u r getting all excited over a statement i made on @the only place to be and later cleared things (i hope so) with the concerned person. so as i see that keep your nose out of other people's business.

secondly i have seen your posts and u tell me to go and support real madrid when all your posts have been in the benitez thread. seems like u r getting very carried away dude.

thirdly i dont need to answer some idiot who goes on trolling about rafa vs mou and when twice i have given u stats which u have not even been able to reply too. so settle yourself and know your damn place. support rafa (and chelsea for the time being) and soon as he goes after 6 months, take another break of 2 years because rafa is not gonna get a job.
