So if we play 433, where does Lamps fit in?

In my opinion if we're going with that then he still doesn't get in. The midfield 3 is either Mikel-Ramires-Oscar or Mikel-Ramires-Mata with Hazard on the left and one of about five players on the right.

????

You miss the point. This is an other problem now. First you argued he does not fit in a 4-2-3-1. There you got a point, cos his position does not exist in that system.

now you say he is not better than mata or oscar for a 4-3-3. That is an entirely different question. Fact is his natural position is one of the two rather advanced midfielders in a mid 3.

------Mikel----

Rami--Lamps

Is our best midfield imo. Of course lamps should not play every game and then you can put Oscar in his position, but there always has to be some rotation. You could also play both of them against smaller teams, resting Ramires etc.

Anyway Mata should be nowhere near the middle of park. Yes he does get back sometimes to collect the ball but only when we are on the front foot and he has space. Mata is midget weakling with no acceleration at all. Against physically superior players he get bullied of the ball as we have seen too often already.

The mid 3 listed above would play our 3 best CMs in the roles they are best at. Mikel in behind, relieved of offensive duties, only calming our play, playing simple passes, Lamps helping our attack with his vision and outstanding playmaking abilities + improving our conversion rates drastically, Ramires being all over the place with his tireless legs hence providing either double cover for lamps or making runs himself.

Lampard at 34 is experienced but overrated and doesn't make our first team for me but could be an important bit part player under benitez in vital games.

This has to be a fuckin joke, bro. How can the greatest player in Chelsea history be overrated?

The abuse and chants against Benitez today is just pathetic. As much as we all dislike or hate Benitez, we need to start judging him objectively and not being influenced by emotions. Booing and abusing Benitez won't help the team. The players will be affected & they don't deserve to the victims of this situation. Benitez will likely last till end of the season. Abuse him and he won't care. Team suffers and he walks away with a big fat paycheck!

Exactly, i genuinely felt bad for him. Now is the time after 6 games without a win we need to get behind the team... Absolutely stupid to boo him, as it will only be damaging to the team which will all do not want...

Also what is holding up an A4 sheet of rafa out gonna do.

189 goals & 120 assists - yer he is definitely overrated as fuck mate...

You are truly delusional beyond salvation if you actually somehow believe that Mikel is a better player than Lampard.

The treatment of Rafa today was a complete disgrace. I don't care if you didn't want him, neither did I. He is now the manager of Chelsea Football Club and any Chelsea fan should give complete support or at least a chance. Way to go the fans at Stamford Bridge, just about turning our home into a hostile ground.

Disgrace, but proud of the team for playing through it against the league champions.

Well he has to expect that, and to be honest he deserves it, he can only get the fans respect if he starts putting in good performances, untill then he deserves no better.

Rafa - "Drogba is a coward, a diver and a cheat"

Rafa - "Lampard is overrated"

Rafa - "Chelsea is a soulless club"

Rafa - "Liverpool fans do not need plastic

flags to support their club. They show true

passion. Chelsea fans are passionless"

That's from soccermemes, so yeah you can't blame any hate that goes out to this man.

Anyway good result today so that's a positive.

I actually really enjoyed & was inspired by the fact that the essential entirety of Stamford Bridge rallied in unity to ensure their thoughts were heard loud & clear - put a smile on my face at least as some consolation to this appointment & the disenchanting week I have experienced as a Chelsea fan.

Just because Benitez is the manager doesn't mean we have to like or support him??? I support the team with my entire heart - & that means the players first & foremost above all else. With someone who maintains as much of a disconnect & distance with his players as Benitez is notorious for, I don't view them as being one in the same at all. The players may listen to what he has to say - & sure it may help us tactically & from an organisational standpoint - but at the end of the day they are the ones who make the difference on the pitch; & I sure as hell know that Rafa isn't the one pouring his passion into the team whatsoever to influence that.

I don't believe the team's morale will suffer from that, they definitely recognise the fans disgust for the man, & I'm pretty sure that they understand & probably relate to it too themselves. But they are professionals being paid extortionate sums of money to do what they love & excel at whilst being worshipped as demi-gods by millions of people around the world; so they know that it is their duty to us to perform to their best & therefore they will do just that - regardless of the manager. It definitely wasn't Avram Grant who took us to the CL final 5 years ago...

So, you want our team filled with some young players to play in a toxic and spiky atmosphere every week? Lovely.

Lets not embarrass ourselves any further. The situation is bad enough as it is. Not saying we should like Benitez because I won't either but for the sake of the team, stop abusing him and support the team during matches! Weren't we all disgusted by the way Blackburn fans were abusing Steve Kean last season? It was rather pathetic and embarrassing. If fans want to make feelings known the board, do it another way, not chanting RDM and/or abusing Benitez during matches. Players will be affected. They are humans after all, not robots!

Not shocked about the chanting and at least it eased off. Just hope it isnt gana happen every game and that is that. Saying that fans werent exactly welcoming to the thought of Carlo at Hiddicks last home game but was soon forgotten

TBF, don't think that was anything as bad as this. Even Grant received a slightly better reception than this.

I don't think you get it...Benitez is not part of the team - & he never will be. He simply picks the formation & the tactics for the games & that's that; he knows what his job is & I don't think he is going to change his favoured methods being the stubborn arrogant twat he is. I don't see how players are going to be affected with a manager as unflinchingly cold as he is, I guarantee you that the vast majority of them don't like him a whole lot either - & they are intelligent enough to differentiate between 'fat Spanish waiter' & their own names in the crowd's chants, as well as the obvious manner of each.

This is a vastly different situation to Steve Kean, because Steve Kean was severely underperforming & hadn't done or said anything nearly as offensive as this putrid piece of shit - so I did feel sorry for him as a person, though not as a manager - because he deserved to be sacked with the pathetic run of results he was achieving.

Regardless of the results, I refuse to support Rafa in any way, shape or form - I can assure you that will never change, no matter how many trophies we win.

We have a right of protest and he deserved every bit of abuse he got. What did he expect when he took on the job? And for some of our fans to feel "sorry" for him?, really? How fucking sad and feeble is that? True fans voiced their opinion today and it was the majority, not a minority.
