Lol no i want to change the formation , 4-1-4-1 something like that =P and i dont want to them to play as a holding MF

Cech

Iva - Terry - Luiz - Cole

----- Mikel------

------ Oscar- Mata -----

Moses --------- Hazard

------ Torres ------

The irony of suggesting Mikel/Ramires to be benched and then putting Oscar and Mata in CM. That lineup is even more suicidal than now! Mata is not a CM to begin and Oscar can play as a CM but he's not a workhorse like Ramires where his energy and workrate is essential in that midfield of ours.

That said, the problem we are conceding the goals is not because of the 4-2-3-1 formation. It's because of our defensive organization as a team. If no one tracks their player, get back into the defensive shape quickly, cover up the spaces etc, then we are bound to get exploited like we are now and no change of formation is gonna solve that. Players make formation works, not the other way round.

What the hell? Oh my goodness considering we are conceding so many goals now how many do you think we will concede with that formation.

WHO IS THAT?

but agree with that tactic we also pressed ManU and got them at the ass. the problem was our lack of a proper finisher and our lack of tracking back in counters. Gotta feelin it will be similar. Hope this match does not get decided by fitness.

When does Lamps come back? It is about time. We are not the same without him. Esp in those games his experience is crucial. Even as a sub his exceptional qualities as leader and finisher can be key.

Asissidi or whatever his name is or possibly Suso whoever they play on one wing.

JT HAS TO START IF FIT!

please no one tell me he is not quick enough or whatever else. He defends like a beast and has the best organisational and captaincy skills on our team. I will take a good, solid well organised defence, over an all over the place quick one every day of the week.

Cech

Ivan Cahill TERRY Bertrand....

Mikel Rambo

Mata Oscar Hazard

Moses

Is what i would play but it will most likely be that with torres up front and david luiz alongside JT if he is fit. A bit worried about Bertrand at Left back but liverpool shouldn't give too much of a problem in wide areas, especially compared to shakhtar.

How that? Cahill is actually a very good sprinter. Remember how often he even overtook messi in those two games to tackle him from front.

I hope you are right, but those were short sprints since at the time Chelsea played with an extremely deep defense line.

Luiz should have been rested against Shaktar then.

Suarez is from Uruguay and VERY South American in the way he moves and dribles (using body rather than just feet). Well, Luiz is also from South America, is used to the style, and actually practices with the likes of Neymar on every Brazil call up.

So, I'd like very much to see Luiz against Suares, especially if Chelsea are going to press and push higher up on the pitch, because both JT and Chill lack pace.

Hmm all the hallmarks of Luiz red-card and Suarez hat-trick...

I don't want Luiz anywhere near this game, my back 4

Azpi. Iva. Terry. Bertrand

That should work nicely :)

Suarez, Sahin and Sterling are players we should cover tightly. They are rested, full of motivation, but I have good feeling.

1.) we are no longer that slow defensive team.

2.) Rodgers is no Dalglish. He might be better coach, but not better motivator. Lpool always played great against us because of the motivation.

Anyway this game we need to win, not just because its Lpool, but mostly because we need 3 points to keep with the top.

Because we can't have the ball for 90 mins, eventually the opposition will get the ball and attack at which point we'll have to defend.

If we cant keep possession, why the f are we playing offensive then?

Once we will CONTROL the game, our defense will be much stronger. But if we are outplayed by Shakhtar (great team, but lack of experience), then there is no point of us to play offensive.

And to mention that our players should cover opponents, close open spaces, pull back,...well this team is just not made for that. I cant see Mata doing some defensive duties like running back and marking opponents all game. Just cant.
