We simply need to better Shakhtar's results. The perfect scenario is that they drop points to Nodsjelland that way we can afford a draw against Juve. If we beat Juve and they go out, then they will have very little motivation to get anything from Ukraine.

Even if we lost at Juventus, we still have a decent chance to go through although I hate leaving our fate up to others. (assuming we beat Nordsjaelland at home and if we can't, we don't deserve to go through). If Juventus wins both games, they'll be at 12 points and we'll qualify. If Shakhtar wins both games, they'll be at 13 points and we'll still qualify. If either team drop points next game, we'll qualify. If Juventus and Shakhtar win next match day and then draw on the final day, we'd be out. It will be interesting to see how RDM plays it because we gave Juventus too much room in the centre of midfield at the Bridge and were guilty of doing the same today. If we can't mark the trailing man in the box, we'll get beaten. Something we need to work on in training.

Flawless? Failed to give a clear penalty on Ramires. Fernandinho made 6-7 fouls but didn't get a single yellow and then you have our players getting booked after just 1-3 fouls.

I don't agree, even if he is a winger, he must defend first. He should always be helping the man behind him when the team is defending. It is not something extra, it is how the system works. If one player does not so his job the system fails and we concede goals as we have seen the past few matches.

And didn't he do this? in fact he has been doing this. He and mostly Bertrand fucked up on their goal, no need to over analyze it and put all the blame on a forward.

Cahill needs a more disciplined CB alongside him (eg. Terry or Brana). Luiz is a good player, he knows how to defend..but he needs to seriously improve his decision-making, I mean you can't just run half way up the pitch whenever you feel like it.

it doesn't end with the pointless forays up the pitch. he has made most fouls among our defenders. i know he is the aggressor but 19 fouls in 12 appearances is a bit too much. Cahill on the other hand has made just 4 fouls in 8 appearances. Big difference

I honestly think we should try cahill terry and give it a chance not one match, then change. David luiz can then be very uesful as a sub, when needed. For now our defence should concentrate on being solid and then we can think more attacking from the back. Cahill and terry i think is our best CB partnership we have, in terms of pure defensive abilities. Not to mention the arial power of cahill, terry and ivan from corners and set pieces.

Actually no one makes mistakes more than Luiz. And i'm glad we won, more than glad even. But Luiz's bad play is not helping our cause.
