Chelseafc.com just confirmed Daivd Luiz signed a new five-year contract.

'I am very happy to sign a new contract with Chelsea,' said David Luiz.

Glad he's signed a new contract. Probably I was too harsh on him after the Super Cup game, but he's been very good in the last three games, ever since he apologized to the fans via his twitter after that horrible performance in Monaco he has improved significantly. I hope he continues to perform this way.

He has the skills and the quality in him, he just needs to stop acting silly at times, especially in defence as it puts him and his team in a dangerous situation.
