I couldn't find a topic on this bloke but I'm sure Chelsea have tried numerous times to sign him.

I've always liked this guy and I believe he would sure up the defence and if needed the midfield. He can have violent outbursts but he is a very solid and reliable CB/RB/CDM. The best Spanish defender after Carles Puyol, in my opinion anyway.

Probably bollocks but I keep my hopes up with cautious optimism.

Regardless I rate Ramos higher than most of Chelsea's current defenders. Ashley Cole is pretty much the only player I'd rate higher than Ramos (maybe Cahill too, but that is pushing it).

Well if we are going to sign a centreback sign Yanga-Mbiwa or Dede or someone else that is cheap and young. Papadopoulos would also be good.

I like Ramos but i wouldn't pay the 50mil quoted in the first link, its not as if we are short in that area and it would only hamper the progression of Cahill into the first team.

Ramos is basically like our own David Luiz with a lot of the same attributes and faults. pointless signing that would be.

our defensive problem is collective, not one player can fix this. The team as a whole needs to improve defending.
