For once, a youth graduate of ours has made it into our first team squad. Considering he only made his break-through with 23 it has to be stated u simply have to give your prospects time, have patience with them and they have to have patience with themselves. Our loan-as-much-as-necessary policy did it this time, but at some point u have to trust your players. So sad we lost Borini and Stoch

One of my favourite players right now!

Long overdue that one of our youth products makes it here at Chelsea. I hope he can make a name for himself in the future.

yeh i agree he's one of my favs as well. what a gem we have in bertrand glad to see another one of our loanees was able to finally break through and cement a spot in the squad.

anyone know what the reported wages will be? 60k week?

Has potential to replace Ashley Cole definitely, but we shouldn't overplay him by any means, just rotate with him and Cole that's all it takes.

I wouldn't want something to happen to him like Kyle Walker for example, Redknapp got rid of his back up fullbacks and just shot Kyle Walker there to play all the games. Walker was good then started going off form and he couldn't be replaced, making shocking mistakes every game, made all three of them in the United game what they should've easily won.

It's a shame because he was a great defender for Villa, i don't think that lad will be the same again. But i don't want to see that happen to Bertrand if we overplay him, i doubt it though, i just hope we handle this perfectly and give him the right amount of playing time.

he is 23 years old with over 100 championship games . he has played in all age groups for England from U 17 to U 23 ...

only Ashleys class keeps him out ,,,, but he is ready that is obvious
