I agree with most of it.

Coutinho has big consistency issues and he goes 10-15 matches without doing anything relevant. Which means he would need NTs to play as often as clubs for him to finally make an impact.

Oscar is a big letdown for me though. I stopped believing he will flourish someday. He won't overcome his 'inconsistency' because he seems to have accepted it as part of who he is. He has a lot of potential, but he won't ever fulfill it not because of inconsistency, but because he consistently settles for mediocrity.

Coutinho might though, especially working now under Klopp. Klopp does develop well attackers like him, but his inconsistency is bigger than Oscar's now. Although there also lies the difference. Coutinho is inconsistent, Oscar is consistent on fading away. There's a difference imo and for a long time I labeled Oscar inconsistent when I should haven't done it.

Sure I am also concerned about Oscar's development or complete lack thereof. However, I would not write him off based on what he has already produced for both Brazil and Chelsea in the past. Yes, it has been short lived, but quality is quality and he's still young.

Hey if Coutinho develops - that's great for Brazil! He's awful small though and that will always be a limiting factor for him.

I still think Coutinho and Oscar are completely different players. The position they play is less important than their characteristics and their role in the team. Oscar and Coutinho can play together and complement each other, the same way Hazard and Oscar once did/do.

Really surprised at Oscar's season thus far after getting an actual break before the season he's now been replaced by Hazard as the #10 that which Mata could've been playing. Big mistake on that transfer, but he's had no fitness issues and still struggling to make a mark. I think a change of scenery will do him good. Let Kenedy occupy the left wing. Sell Oscar and bring the Eiffel Tower

Mourinho put all his faith in this dude. All Oscar did was steadily get worse. Get rid!

I don't agree with this. He's as good, or as bad, as he ever was. All that's changed is that people's patience has run out. No longer is anyone, it seems, prepared to excuse his under performing as they had been doing for virtually the whole of Oscar's time here.

The lack of a break thing has been well and truly exposed for what it always was. An excuse with no truth to it whatsoever.
