Hutcho 8,443
If we get to the final in all possible competitions, I've come to a figure of 67. Probably wrong though Well even if we don't get that far in all competitions then your still looking at around 55 games which is a big season... Melanicus 5,208
How would he fir in our formation you ask? Like this:TorresHazard-Mata-RamiresOscar-Mikel
BlueLyon 9,359
How will he fit in our formation is matter of Robbie's decision and plans. He could be winger, second striker, playmaker, cm or attacking midfielder. No point discussing until he will actualy play. I only hope he will suceed wherever he plays. Personally I thought it would look like this.Mikel, LampardHazard, Oscar, MataTorresWith lots of interchanging of positions between the two behind the striker, with all of them being fairly comfortable playing in any of the 3 positions behind the striker. But maybe Di Matteo thinks he will play in a deeper role. I dont know, we just have to wait and see.
capriccioso 2,545
But there's no Ramires to be seen, damn it!He was our best outfield player last season and yet no one ever includes him in potential line ups.

Can he really play as part of a fluid 3 behind the striker? I have my doubts. He didn't impress in the double pivot either when he played there. Personally I think that when he does play it will be in the double pivot, occasionally stepping in for Lampard. But again, that's guess work, maybe Di Matteo will want wingers ho stay wide, in which case maybe Ramires and Marin will both play.

I'm sick of modern wingers. Hug the touchline and cross it!
headhunter23 70
has it been wrapped up or still speculation?
Hutcho 8,443
has it been wrapped up or still speculation?I would say 90% done.. Even SSN are reporting about it... I assume they just need to iron out some personal terms, but the fee has been agreed as far as i am aware.
Badboy 1,526
I just hope that this kid doesn't end up like Denilson for Arsenal. This signing will be a big body blow for Josh and i think it'll seal his fate as far as this club is concerned !

Rahul Haque 57
i'm afraid ramires is no longer guaranteed first team. though i suspect he'll be the first in the team sheet for big games.

Ramires has to play.He played in a 4-3-3 with raul meries. It is expected we will play a 4-2-3-1 which he unfortunately doesn't have a definate role in, as he is not a RW or a defensive midfielder. He is highly suited to the 4-3-3 though it seems unlikley we will play that.
Rahul Haque 57
ramires plays the one role and he does it world class, which is the mould of a counter attacking ride sided winger. he's not good in posession or in defensive midfield where calmness is such a big thing. ramires can play on the left too but these are the only 2 roles i see for him in the future. he will the first name on the sheet IN big games. however, i expect the likes of marin and oscar to get the nod for smaller teams who will park the bus. BlueLyon 9,359
Looking further that player like Ramires wouldnt start is the fact we dont need any striker or winger. It would be luxsus more than a need. RB is what we realy need. And as much I would like Hulk here, that would mean only bench for several players. Show me players in that age, with that skill, that place in NT and that potential. For that price ofc. I think many of you don't like this transfer because you hear about Oscar few days ago. Modric [Oscar can be our Modric] would be great but Oscar [same position] don't needed? Yay : |
