Did anyone pay attention to where he said "we were thinking of sending him out on loan again" which indicates it took an impressive pre-season to change the board's mind. . . . despite his magnificent loan spell at bolton and his clear superiority to the other options at RWF (Kalou and Anelka) to even consider sending him out on loan again in the first place is mind boggling

Really pissed off that we've missed Sturridge in these opening games, gonna be good to have him back. Looking back at my earlier posts in this thread it was weird. I said he was no good at all in the LWF role but after pre-season I do have hope for him to play in our team, but not as the main striker. Hope this season works well for him.

^ I didn't get to watch any of the pre-season games, just some highlights. Just mentioned LWF specifically because earlier in the thread I said that's where he was playing.

At the end of the post I tried to broaden it by saying 'not as the main striker' Thanks for that though.
