headhunter23 70
is there an actual chance he gets transferred when we have 1 striker who could implode if things dont start out right, plus we have so many fixtures this year, its good to have a good reliable second striker, he will get many FA cup/ some ucl games and a pl start here and there. Carling cup, I assume he will be our number 1 striker, we can pencil him in for 15 starts and probably 15-20 sub appearances throughout the season in all the competitions, he just has to make the most of those chances. KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
They are about to lose Modric, possibly Van De Vaart and already have lost Adebayor. They are in big trouble of becoming midtable again. I really want to keep Danny Boy. I hope he shines in the Olympics and shows Robbie he has alot of Talent as a CF.Edit: LOL The Twattenham Scum think they have a chance at buying our Sturridge. Dream on scum, dream on. Midtable it is for you this season. Las7, headhunter23, TorontoChelsea and 1 other

Leif 6,006
I had meningitis when I was 7.If he goes even 1 day without seeing a doctor and has a high level of bacterial or viral meningitis, he's completely screwed. If you don't get it sorted ASAP, you either die, get a limb amputated, or have serious after effects. (I only have minor after effects somehow. Lucky me.)

Superblue 6,372
Hopefully he makes a full recovery. As Robbie showed at the end of the season we need everybody in the squad and even if Sturridge is backup to Torres at the start of the season he'll still be an important member of our squad. The English media seem to be more worried about the fact he may have to withdraw from the Olympics rather than his health. Disgusting cunts the lot of them. Disgusting cunts the lot of them.Of course, I didn't mean my comment to come across so selfish. The most important thing is his health and making a full recovery. The secondary part of my comment was simply that he's an important part of the squad so I'm also hoping we can see him back on the pitch doing what he does best as soon as possible.Isn't this a serious illness? If its the one i'm thinking of, he'll be lucky to play football again.Bacterial meningitis is the worse form. That spreads quickly and can cause amputations, kidney damage, potentially death, etc. Viral meningitis carries many of the same symptoms but the long term affects are much less concerning in most cases. termninja 5,290
Terrible...I don't know much about it, but from what I've read it can get pretty dangerous. Danny is a tough lad, hopefully he will recover fast. All the best mate!

BlueJewel 56
He'll recover hopefully, viral meningitis usually requires only supportive treatment, he just needs rest and some pain killers.
