Tricky 301
Given his age this is a make or break season for him. By next year he would have to be included in our 25 man squad. He has made a hash of his loan opportunities, won't be getting first team chances with us and has something of an attitude problem. Ive seen nothing to suggest a star in the making. Only option is to sell him, may make a couple of million, and insert a sell on clause fee. Job done.
Justin_3d 1,140
Let's see how Kakuta does in the pre-season.To be fair he is the one player I would actually be watching the most. This might be Kakuta last year, so it will be very important to see if he can step up to the plate or leave through the back door. BleedsBlue 1,549
Well, the club jumped through hoops to get him and to which let to a lot of trouble. The least we can do is give him a chance by playing at least twice a month.
Kojo 4,676
Loan him out if he doesn't perform again then sell him.
BlueLion. 21,491
He should be loaned, or sold. Not good enough for the club at this time.
capriccioso 2,545
He should be loaned, or sold. Not good enough for the club at this time.It would avoid stalling his career as well. He'd be 6th choice on either wing, behind Mata/Hazard/Marin/Sturridge/Malouda.
CRonaldo 55
I'm not sure he is THAT good.I wonder if he can have a career in Chelsea
SeB 1,281
Let him come on in the 'Mata' role in the last 10 minutes of games and give him the Starts in the Carling Cup and FA Cup against the lower teams. See how he does.Exactly my thoughs... on Benayoun

Duppy Conqueror 1,557
let him stay for half seasonthat`s what i would do too..wave the carrot infront of the donkey by giving him the chance to prove himself worthy of playing for us.if he don`t take it we can both move on. TorontoChelsea 4,064
We are playing for 5 cups (CS and UEFA Super Cup out) next season. With Malouda probably leaving I can see him comming on from bench next season.I think he is ready for 1st team action. We can't lose another talent who will excel on other team. Look what happened with Borini, he is for the squad in EURO 2012 for Italy and he played for reserves. Also, there are injuries all season and we don't know who will come back injured from EURO (I hope nobody does).Give him chance and confidence and I'm sure he won't dissapoint. He is clearly not ready. He got off to a good start with Dijon, scoring 5 goals and getting 2 assists in his first 9 matches, but then he had no goals or assists in his last 7 matches and was benched for the last 3 matches by a team that was fighting for its relegation life. So, I don't see how a player who was not good enough to play for a relegated Ligue 1 team deserves to be playing at Chelsea. In fact, it clearly shows the opposite. He's still only played 43 professional games. He needs to go back out on loan. I have absolutely no idea who is voting for the "keep him around, he's earned a crack" because it's pretty obvious that he hasn't.
Term-X 7,891
Carlo Ancelotti could have done more to facilitate Kakuta. He had impressive cameos in games, but found himself mysteriously benched afterwards, it happened both here and at Bolton.
gary gordon 1,777
Would definitely hang on to him. Not being able to settle and find a home can very distracting for the young bloke. I think he needs to feel loved. Give him until January. Carling Cup and FA cup are a must for Gael.
jmarlow 458
the obvious answer is see him in pre-season if he really really impresses then keep him and give him a chance next season, if not then sell him. I dont think he wants to be loaned out he either wants to stay or be sold.

I dont think he wants to be loaned out he either wants to stay or be sold.McEachran really impressed last season and keeping him around was a mistake because he couldn't get into enough games. There simply isn't enough room for Kakuta and he isn't ready anyway. He was benched for not being good enough for a team that is now in the second division in France. Seriously, think about it...a team now in the Second division in France thought "we have a better chance of winning without Kakuta playing on our team". Does that say "oh yeah, he'll be great for Chelsea" to you? That Kakuta doesn't want to go on loan only shows his immaturity. He doesn't want to put in the effort it takes to become a top player. He doesn't want to have to prove himself. You compare that to someone like De Bruyne (or Kalas or pretty much 99% of young players) who wants to go on loan so that he can play a lot of games and grow as a footballer. Im not saying he will do well enough to be kept for next season, personally i think he will do ok in pre-season but not enough to convince RDM to keep him around, so he will most likely get sold. Hell, it's difficult enough to judge a player on a handful of meaningful games. Marin has played over 100 games in the Bundesliga with some success. He's been capped 18 times for Germany at a very competitive position. Kakuta has played 17 poor matches in the Premier League and 12 mixed ones in France. That means a lot more to me than whether someone looks good in July against Seattle or not. I'd prefer to see him go on loan because he does have incredible potential if he could get over himself.
