lionsden 4,689 Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 For those thinking he's inevitably madrid bound the thing is, Madrid would want to replace CR in a few years time with an highly productive player/goal machine and not a creative one (almost a like for like)which Hazard isn't. they already have enough creativity. otherwise they would just go after another flavour of the month of the back of a fantastic euro or world cup.Also Isco has been playing some of the best football of his career this season and has also added the work rate which Ancelotti criticized last season and he offers the same tangibles and skillset as Hazard. so they already have an Hazard -esque player in their squad.But then again Madrid aren't the most sensible club around and Ancelotti is just a yes man. Share Posted November 5, 2014 You guys are thinking like a small club.It has nothing to do with a club's current standing and financial resources, Madrid usually get the player they want. the allure of playing for the biggest club in history is too irresistible to most players coupled with the fact that they have the resources to make an offer no club can refuse which they usually do for their galatico signings.I guess Man Utd (ronaldo), Bayern (Kroos) Juve (Zidane, Canavaro and Barca (Figo, Laudrup) are small clubs with a small club mentality. If he's not staying in the wings defending the fullbacks he'll be higher up the pitch from the center and will be able to have a free role like Ronaldo has at Madrid.
