Damn Eden you're killing me with your lack of finishing. I think the way he takes penalties gives some insight as to why he struggles in 1 v1 situations.

With penalties he waits for the keeper to move before choosing his location whereas with 1 v1 most of the time you have to choose first and you don't have time to wait for the GK to make the first move.

I hope he spends 1000s of hours next summer with Thibault on 1 v1s

I don't get the constant paranoia re Madrid, if we tie him to a new contract I can't see it being a problem at all.

Hazard isn't one of those pre Madonna that have jumped ship to the Bernabeu before, he's quite humble, furthermore his Dad has already made it clear he thinks his son is in the best possible hands under Mourinho so if he asks his family for advice he will almost certainly betold to sstay and with Mourinho we have just the man to tell him being on Madrid's pay roll isn't all its cracked up to be.

And that's the reason, he hasn't signed the new contract yet. Mou said in September that it would be matter of time, but nothing happened since then. If he doesn't sign it, the club has to decide whether to sell him in the summer or not. With 2 years left (2015) you could still ask for a nice transfer price but with one 1 year left (2016) not.

I disagree, it's been a great season so far really, but yeah he does go down too easy at times, needs to take a risk and just keep runnnig, against Maribor when he won the penalty he should of kept running and had a go himself.

Haha, I remember when we first signed him and after a few months in I said that he really needs to work on his finishing and the '20 goals in Ligue 1 suggests different' talk came up. Glad people are starting to see that now it is something he has to explicitly work on.

3 main things Eden needs to continue to work on and he'll legitimately move up a level and be universally considered as one of the best players out there (or best in the BPL at least):

1. Finishing
2. Killer instinct
3. Off the ball movement

The latter two are developing along nicely - no longer does Hazard sit around and wait for things to happen, he actually is finally using his ability to force results which is good to see. Off the ball movement has improved as well; even though he still has some work to do. His finishing however has actually seemed to regress. It's weird. He has the technique and everything, he knows how to dispatch a ball into the bottom corner, top corner, volleys etc. but it seems to be a confidence thing/mental block whenever he does seem to get in front of goal.

If Eden works on those three points and gets them to a high level (as said before the latter two are definitely evidently improving)... Boy are we in for a treat.
