Have never really seen him play any defence splitting passes or any that makes you go 'wow! that is a brilliant through ball' and yet the media go wanking all over him and compare him with Ronaldo, Messi etc. Bale is a player that currently thrives on having space. Don't give him that and you'll see a limited player, one that is not capable of playing those incisive passes and operate in the way Messi, Ronaldo, Mata, Hazard etc can in those tight areas.
