I disagree I would look at overall performance of the teams.

In 2018 Real had 76 points, Barcelona 93.

In 2019 Real had 68, Barcelona 87.

These are the most recent years. Referees letting Ramos act like a cage fighter put stains on their CL wins anyway.

I know you didn't say anything about Livepool and City I just applied the same CL is more important than league logic to the last two most recent years. Imo overall performance is more important.

people are bound to disagree

I personally would take a league title and two CL's over the next 4 years versus 3 league titles and shit in the CL

toss in an FA cup or 2 for each team (equal on 1 or 2)

and then it is even more pronounced for me

as we would be winning everything in terms of major trophies and one of those years would be a treble potentially or maybe a couple doubles of some sorts

You are just looking at the end products. That doesn't tell the whole story.

Real being 36 points behind Barcelona in total in two years. That actually means being shit for a long long time and trailing your main rival.

global footie history will remember that RM 4 out of 5 (which is what it was plus the 3 in a row) CL's far longer than the La Liga titles Barca won in the same period

I feel confident of saying that, especially if Barca go ages with no CL's after the last Pep one ( if they fail this year and next they are on a run of not wining it for  6 years in row and other than that 2006 final where they beat Arse, and the 1992  European Cup, the ONLY other ones they won were Peps three. That is in the entire history of the club. 120 years
