Wilson 358
In a way, I can't believe this but on the other hand it's hilarious. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/la-liga/9161372/Jose-Mourinho-helps-unveil-Real-Madrid-Resort-Island-in-the-United-Arab-Emirates.htmlReally though, haven't they got better things to invest in? Blue Armour 4,439
I see they spared no expense, except maybe common sense.
The Big Drog 1,110
It looks tremendous and you cant fault them on their creativity or daring, obviously not every club could do such a thing, Real Madrid is the biggest and greatest club in the world so if any club is capable of making this work, it is them. Spike 12,049
I wish they would reconsider and donate that money to charity. Disgusting waste of resources.
capriccioso 2,545
Cynical communist again; that symbolises the decadence of the capitalists. That was paid for with the hard earned cash of the working classes who fill out the Bernabeu who definitely would not have given up their time and money if it was going to be 'invested' on that monstrosity.Back on topic with football; this is senseless. How the hell do they have a billion dollars to spare with FFP coming in? I don't think this comes under the accepted expenditure category (I think thats restricted to youth investment and stadium upgrades only)

Atletico de Madrid is the true club of the proletarian.
capriccioso 2,545
Perhaps the fans are more proletarian than Real's, but I'm not so sure about the club in general. Franco, for example, was an Atletico supporter. If they had the cash they would probably do something similar.
Spike 12,049
It was more or less a tongue in cheek joke.

LDN Blue 7,903
I don't know where they found the money from Something to bribe our UEFA contingency with?
capriccioso 2,545
No doubt UEFA will write it off as community developments/improvements or some such... if we tried a stunt like that we'd be thrown out of Europe faster than you can say Ovrebo. Wavy Crockett 190
my first thought was that it seems a bit ridiculous as well but I think it's wise of them trying to strengthen their brand among the asian demographic, could prove a good investment in the future

Term-X 7,891
The promotional video... I don't see how the museum would work though. They will have a lot of signed shirts & artefacts at the Bernabeu, unless it's a watered down version.
