The Roberto Di Matteo Thread

Maybe its best for both parties if RDM doesn't take the job.Roman will appoint Pep sooner or later and since there is no job security for RDM,its best if he moves on to a club which will respect him and offer some managerial longevity.Mind you,the young Italian won't be short of any suitors and I wish him all the very best.A complete all round Chelsea legend.Long live Roberto Di Matteo!

No job secruity for anyone who comes in reallly....

But after everything he's done for us agree maybe it is best because as soon as things go wrong the usual 'get him out's shite will start and the media will start their usual slagging match and he doesnt deserve that! Deserves to be somewhere where he wont be looking over his shoulder after a bad run and is treated with respect

Let's be honest. RDM isn't getting the job. He would have gotten the job by now. I think it's best he leaves. He's expanded upon his legacy and did amazing things here. It's best if that does not get tarnished and he walks away with pride and honour. Even if he did get the job he would only have it for a year anyway.

Oh well its Chelsea's loss.Had RDM won the Champions League with another club,he would be our top target.

Be that as it may, the treatment of Di Matteo is shocking.

Its just sad to know that even after winning the FA Cup and the biggest club competition,Chelsea decide to part ways with him.I am not sure that a Top 4 finish would have even convinced Roman. The owner is one stupid humble rich fella.

Only if you define anything except giving him the job as shocking treatment. I reckon RdM is well informed of what's going to happen and that is exactly what makes the journos mad.

Agree. One moment it seemed a case of 'win the CL...get the job....then seemed set to get it when Pep said was taking a year out.Now he aint..who knows whats going on'

But if he doesnt get it best of luck wherever he goes.Defintly a lot of oppounties out there for him now...
