The Roberto Di Matteo Thread

Firstly he deserves a chance. The whole club would look ungrateful brats if we were to let him go having finally won us the big one.

But secondly, something I have made a point of a few times is that when a player or manager represents 'their' club they are always willing to go that extra mile and find that extra 10% to get a result. Barcelona is Guardiola's club, and it would be interesting to see how he adapts to managing a club which isn't Barcelona - I would be worried to take that risk with it being us.

Chelsea is Di Matteo's club. It's where he served the best years of his career, won trophies, and already had massive report with the fans before his success as manager. Coupled with Eddie Newton alongside him, they are prepared to go that extra mile for the club. He may be our answer to Guardiola, and I hope he gets a proper chance to do just that.

Love him. For any new fans we've picked up since the CL win, here are 2 of his most memorable goals. Pefect:

I went to the 1997 FA Cup final with my dad. I was 10 at the time and the people in front of me kept standing up and blocking my view. When Di Matteo broke through the middle they all stood up, and by the time I had stood on my chair to see the ball was nestling in the back of the net

I was at the 2000 FA Cup final aswell when Di Matteo's goal beat Villa. Unbelievable memories. What a legend.

(That Arsenal goal was fucking amazing!)

BBC says it could be like this:

'It is now thought the most likely scenario will see both parties agree to a longer contract with a clause that would allow either to break it after 12 months.

That is a good, smart move from our board. Well done to them. Both parties will benefit and Robbie will accept it I feel.

Disappointing. That means that John 'lionheart' Terry and Fat Frank will continue to play. RDM has no authority in the dressing room, he is the one getting bossed around by the senioirs. Watch our season crumble like the last one at the beginning. IF Terry and Fatty have less playing time, then I will support RDM.

You call it getting bossed around? more like playing your fucking best players.

He played JT and Frank all the way and we won 2 trophies, now where's the problem?

Why do they call him 'Robbie'? Just shows they don't see him as their boss, more like a friend. Frank is 34 in a few days and we got better players in the double pivot, and we got 2 of the most promising centre backs in the world, yet one of them is going to be stuck on the bench, maybe... If everything goes to plan, Terry will be found guilty (even David Cameron admitted he said bad things) and hopefully won't play for Chelsea again.

Are you a spudz fan in disguise???? you are questioning JT da Captain of the Blues? How long have you supported this team? Let me let in on a lil' secret, JT will sacrifice a his life & limb for The Blues. Look at this video & see how JT gives up his body for the club:

If you ever heard JT speak, then you will realize that he is very mild manner & speaks very well. Then Supa Frank Lampard fat??? I don't know if you like reading, but read the chapter of Chelsea in Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's book. He speaks about how immature Frank was when he first came to the club & how he became a professional. Obviously you are guided by the English press, that A) likes to speculate & B) wants to rant & rave of one of the lil' red fairy sides. Seriously dude you really need to check yourself w/ silly remarks like that willis.gif

Because it's shorter than saying Roberto? they called Mourinho, Jose. And Ancelotti, Carlo. What's your point?

And at the moment we have no better player than Lampard to partner Mikel in a 2 man midfield, that could all change depending on who we get before the window closes though.
