Mr. Ziggles 110
Am I the only one that would welcome Brendan Rodgers back? He's doing well with Swansea, got them promoted and now midtable. Also plays some of the best football in the league with them.If we somehow got Rodgers back, how awesome would it be? A team of Rodgers, RDM, Eddie Newton and Steve Holland? Seems good to me.Oh and also get a new board. Thing is, with legends and some old CFC boys in there, respect is dealt with. And half of these guys worked with Reserves & Youth so... Not enough experience. At least Moyes got a decade worth of that.We have not really gotten a manager with EPL experience.

Tomo 21,751
Sorry to burst the bubble but David Moyes is far to big a gamble.Yes he has done amazing at Everton to do what he has done on a limited budget and what not, but lets not forget Allardyce and Roy did similar miracle job's at Bolton and Fulham, Big Sam came very close to getting a £10m Bolton squad in the CL while Roy got an average Fulham squad into the final of the Europa league, look what happened when they got a big job? Whats to say Moyes won't go down the same route because lets be honest had Big Sam stayed at Bolton to this day i can put money on that a lot of Chelsea fans would be sounding his name out for the job. I'd rather we got someone with experience, skill and class that's cheaper to be honest. The main thing about Moyes is he will not take shit from anybody. Plus i doubt Moyes will even consider the job, i remember him saying before we played up Goodison last May how he values continuaty, knowing his job his safe etc etc

francozola 2,040
What is the difference between Moyes and AVB? Moyes has more experience in the Premiership, but he is still a wild card at this level. No one knows how he would deal with superstars and prima donnas. There is no way that the club will go for Moyes. They will appoint a someone who has experience at the top levelYou mention about Moyes that he won't take shit from anybody. AVB wasn't just some quiet character who let himself be bullied by the old guard. He tried to fight them. He lost and that cost him his job. Tomo 21,751
Ive been thinking, maybe we need a manager who will sacrifice himself but at the same time dropping Lampard and Malouda and co into the reserves and integrating the young players into the team?Basically someone who will "take the sack" for the good for the club. incometax 116
I dont think were mentioning Marcelo Biesa enough. He was (weakly however) linked recently with the possibiltiy of taking over the cfc job. He from what im told is a top draw manager and if we decided to raid atletico biablo (if we get him) we have a good shot and munain and martinez. LDN Blue 7,903
There's some actually valid points on this thread, and it's actually swayed me from saying Mourinho as a name to return. I'd be happy if it happened, but I'm not calling for it because it's history now and let it stay there.P.s. We Hate Souse, you're on fire in this thread, keep going! Ewok 1
Ha ha! Rafa's too good for you lot. The cheek of some of you thinking you're too good for him.But hey, Sky say he rotates too much and spent a fortune. Let's not let facts get in the way of what trophies he's won and his achievements, let's listen to Paul Merson salivating all over the desk before his next court appearance.Mongs.
