Spike 12,049
Guardiola will flop. Not because of his tactical acumen or his man management skill, but because he is terrible when it comes to transfers.Klopp has a great thing going at Dortmund, he should continue there. Kojo 4,676
Be serious a second , Rafael Benitez is the best solution for me , lets give him his 18month contract , he knows the PL , he is a good manager , and when Pep Guardiola , Mourinho or even Guus Hiddink will be available we'll do the necessary to bring them to the bridge. Benitez is the most realistic solution to save Chelsea's next 2 seasons.I agree, we should also sign Mick Mcarthy as assistant manager to help out, also bring in some new additions to the squad such as Heskey. Heisenberg 1,824
Benitez? Really? Mourinho, Guardiola, Joachim Loew, and Hiddink are at the top of my listWho will come to Chelsea ? Mourinho will continue at least one year in Madrid , he sad that , also , Pep Guardiola could be an option , but does he really want to train another team than Barcelona ? Joachim Low is not an option , he'll be the coach of Germany national Team for a time, he sad that he is not interested. Hiddink has just began to train Anzhi. Klopp declined chelsea.Benitez is our man , i'm not seeing another coaches capable of the Chelsea Job right now , maybe next year.

Justin_3d 1,140
I wouldn't go that far. For all we hate about Benitez, he's still one of the best available coaches out there right now.One of the best available coaches?Good god, what the world has come to! Instead of wasting time with Benitez is time to gamble on the one person who deserved a shot a long time ago. Moyes! And I don't care what people say that he could turn out to be a Roy or Sam making a pigs ear out of everything. Cause it surely will be a much wiser and smarter choice then Benitez. No one will blame him if you choose that option.
capriccioso 2,545
Benitez is rubbish and anyone denying that is either a scouser or has been brainwashed by scousers. Moyes would be the sane choice but I'm concerned that the players will get back to their tricks and get him fired if he tries to break them up.Even if you have empirical evidence that Benitez is a quality manager, he's a bumbling fool. We'll go back the Liverpool way splashing cash on the Ryan Babel's and David N'Gog's and Nabil El Zhar's of the world.
LDN Blue 7,903
Benitez is, tactically, a better manager than most.He has faults though, which I won't deny, like his inability to grasp the line between lack of rotation and over-rotation. His transfers are sometimes mystifying, though he's found a few gems in Xabi Alonso, Torres, Agger, Reina etc. As Kostas once pointed out too, he runs players into the ground as well so it definitely wouldn't go down to well with the older guard of course. Though he'd be good for maybe 2-3 season, over the long term he wouldn't be too kind on the squad. Just my, unbias, opinion though. As a Chelsea fan, don't want him anywhere near the club, but as a football fan I recognise he's not totally inept.
capriccioso 2,545
The only time he's ever proved his tactical nous was parking 10 men behind the ball any time Jose hoved into view and bringing on Dietmar Hammann at half time in Istanbul. Neither of which scream genius to me.
Wavy Crockett 190
the irony of us next season probably having a worse manager than AVB but improvements made to the squad will ensure a 3rd place finish
termninja 5,290
We will try going for Mourinho and Guardiola. If that fails, Hidink will be next. If that fails...I guess Benitez and Capello...
Ollie 4,400
I don't care how good or how amazing Benitez is or can be or how good a tactician he is (he's not by the way) we do not want him.

If that fails...I guess Benitez and Capello...The only thing going for us in the mourinho negotiations is that he wants to return to england....otherwise v r fried....5th place, europa lge..aging squad....
