OneMoSalah 8,886
Not an England fan but will be interesting to see who is in their preferred first 11 for the Euros.I'd imagine England would stick with 4-3-3 so here is who would be my starting 11...GK HartRB RichardsCB CahillCB Jones/JTLB ColeDM ParkerCM Lampard/GerrardCM Cleverly/Wilshere/Milner (depending on each Wilshere/Cleverlys fitness)RW SturridgeST RooneyLW Oxlade-ChamberlainOxlade-Chamberlain and Sturridge over Walcott and Young every day of the week. Spike 12,049
4-4-1-1GK HartRB RichardsCB CahillCB JonesLB ColeRM MilnerCM GerrardCM ParkerLM JohnsonSS RooneyST SturridgeWIlshere will be shite because he will have missed an entire season.Gerrard is a better team player than Lamps. When Rooney is out play Joe Cole behind Sturridge.Terry should replace either Jones or Cahill when leadership is needed. This will get England to the point where they either lose on Penalties or play Germany.Go home England Germany has basically already won the Euros. Ollie 4,400
It's funny, we all say Richards yet where the fuck had he even been for England? It's a disgrace that he's not been picked as the RB or at least a CB.My first choice England line up would be HartRichards - Terry - Cahill - ColeGerrard - Parker - LampardJohnson - Rooney - YoungOR Diamond (slightly different team)Hart Johnson - Richards - Cahill - ColeParkerWilshere - GerrardYoungDefoe - Rooney
Mr. Ziggles 110
HartWalker - Terry - Cahill/Jones - Cole/BertrandParker - MilnerLampardA. Johnson - Rooney - SturridgeWhen Rooney is out, play Sturridge as CF and play Oxlade-Chamberlain as LM because we might actually have a chance at the quarters... and maybe semi's. LDN Blue 7,903
HartRichards/Smalling - Lescott/Jones - Cahill - BainesParker © - MilnerGerrardSturridge - WelbeckRooneyDo you rate Lescott?I've looked at him closely when watching City games and I often think 'how?!' how he's playing for a top side like City. He's decent, I won't lie, but in him I don't see a world-class CB
FranklyFrank 103
I think a 4-4-2 would be good.-------------------- Hart ------------------Richards----Cahill----Jones/Terry----ColeSturridge--Gerr/Lamps---Cleverly---Young--------------------Rooney-----------------------------------Welbeck-----------------
FranklyFrank 103
My parents are English but I live in the states. I say this just to clear up some confusion on why I put an England team hear.
Bir_CFC 3,455
Maybe it's just me, but I think Smalling is a better CB than Jones.HartRichards - Smalling - Cahill - ColeMilner-Parker-GerrardSturridge-Rooney-YoungCan easily switch to 4-4-2, Young drops back on the left, Rooney plays just a little behind Sturridge with Sturridge as an out and out striker. Kojo 4,676
With the current squad pickedHartRichards-Cahill-Jones-BainesJohnson-Parker-Gerrard-MilnerSturridge-RooneyI think Stuart Pierce's selection was pretty stupid defensivly, he only chosen one centre back... and two young ones who have been playing right back most of the season, then 3 well really 5 right backs then two left backs... strange person.my line up with selectionHartRichards-Jagielka-Lescott-BainesJohnson-Parker-Gerrard-MilnerSturridge-RooneyStill though only world class players you have there are Rooney, Hart and Richards. I would play Sturridge above Welbeck, because Welbeck for me is average i think he is a good finisher though but that's about it, where as Sturridge has much better skill, passing, vision, crossing, and shooting long range, but finishing he can be inconsistent, hopefully against Holland he will be in good form in the finishing department, where as i think Welbeck will get lost in the game and if England play badly and get overrun which is most likely to happen, Welbeck will just die out in the game and get lost, where as Sturridge will get much more involved.
