Viper22 2,418
A move to an up and coming team that have a great manager like Gladbach would be a great move, assuming he gets the required game time.

Stats 7,142
Good move for him but it depends on whether he gets game time or not. I am quite surprised on Gladbach behalf that they are pursuing this loan unless like Thorgan, they believe it will turn into a permanent deal which I think is a possibility. Gladbach are not no average club. They finished 3rd and will be in the UCL group stages next season. There is no way Christensen will walk into the first team and that is where I am confused because it is unrealistic to think a 19 year old who has only played 12 minutes of professional football will play regulalry at a team like Gladbach. Look what happened with Kalas at Cologne. A inferior club and he struggled to get any minutes. Unless Christensen is a much better defender right now, which I don't think he is, I find if difficult to see where the games will come from tbh. Obviously if Andreas were able to claim, and hold, a place in the Gladbach side, it would be great but it's a bit unrealistic to expect him to. Too unrealistic I imagine to risk a loan there. Gladbach are the only German team I have an interest in & thus watch in the Bundesliga and you're right, he'll absolutely not walk into that team. It's a very special team and you have to have a very special character to play there, similarly to here under Mourinho. Perhaps that's why he could be going there. They have a strong defense. I fear the same situation Kalas had at Köln
ProXima 11
Paradoxically, defence is the worst Gladbach's formation (only 27 goals conceded in league last season) because we have only one nominal left-back and two players who can play there (but it's not their basic position) - one of them is a Dominguez (CB), rest players for CB: Stranzl (awesome defender, but old and often injured), Elvedi and Brouwers (I'm sure Andreas isn't worse than them). Also Dane can play as DM and Borussia have only three player for this position. So I think he won't be a permanent member of first squad but should get plenty of minutes.
