the wes 7,212
Chelsea are ready to sign brilliant Brazilian wonder boy Lucas Piazon from Sao Paolo - in a bid to beat their transfer ban. TheStamford Bridge outfit sent their top men to South America at theweekend in a bid to tie up a move for the skipper of Brazil's under-15side. Piazon, an attacking midfielder, scored twice as Brazilthrashed Bolivia 4-0 in a game watched by leading talent spotter Petede Visser and talks have already begun to bring him to London. CarloAncelotti's ambitious Chelsea want to move fast, tying up the movebefore any possible enforcement of the FIFA transfer ban that ishanging over their heads. The tall midfielder, who is like Kaka in style and size, is alsoknown to the other Premier League clubs like Manchester United andArsenal from his recent displays in the Nike Youth Cup in Manchester. However Chelsea believe they have won the race for the youngster and will fly him in to complete the deal in the coming weeks. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/incoming/Chelsea-chase-Brazilian-wonderkid-Lucas-Piazon-article223085.html
.Cee 50
I thought England don't allow work permits for under-18 South Americans?
EskWeston 696
I thought England don't allow work permits for under-18 South Americans? My thoughts exactly, although there are circumstances where he possibly holds a European passport from somewhere? Also it is allowed in certain circumstances. Would be good for us to pick up some South American talent. U15's though is a young age and unless he does have an EU passport then i wouldn't think our chances of bringing him over are very good. .Cee 50
Yeah, but we can sign him then put him on loan until we can get work permit for him. Like we did with Alex.
Blueboy 14
Isn't there a special rule for players with 'exceptional talent'? Although the FA isn't really clever about this xD. They rejected Messi, it wasn't an 'extraorindary talent', when Arsenal tried to sign him xD.

I have already met players. Felipe Melo and Amauri said hello and I had a photograph with Alessandro Del Piero."Reports in Italy claim Piazon has yet to officially complete his switch, but a deal worth around 5million euros is expected to be rubberstamped in the coming days.
