The 17-year-old is currently playing for Brazil in the South American Under-17 Championship and the Blues hope to complete the deal when he turns 18. Piazon had looked on the verge of joining Juventus after he spent a week training with them two months ago. However, Chelsea appear to have stolen a march on the Italians as owner Roman Abramovich continues to flex his financial muscle in the transfer market.
