Hope we didnt bought Marin just to be sub!

I fear most that injury will downgrade Kevin abilities. He is young and was in great form, but this injury could mean he will never fulfill his potential...It is always hard to get back after so long time...And probably we will out loan him again...

Haha that's just beautiful.

He'll end up in a central role, he just has too. Players like him are wasted on the wing. Though as a CM/AM rather than a number 10. I see him as a 'more exciting' and more technically gifted version Lamps personally, think he'd be the perfect replacement.

Will be interesting to see in what role he'll play for us. I love him already btw B).

If he fails to impress then he'll be on the bench, if he does well he'll get more starts. It's up to him really. It's not like he is going to have a lot of competition on the wing positions...

Well, then I hope Marin will impress here.

Was beast two seasons ago, now he lost his touch because of injury and that is problem with flair players. Coming to Chelsea will mean few things

1. New chance to prove himself

2. Same class (or better) team-mates to play with

3. Back to the wing position

4. No pressure to him

Usualy german players do the job, but he is not actualy german after all. Still, he has same mentality and I doubt such good player could just lose all his skill and talent.

Well, Australian cricketer Brett Lee was out for about 10 days with a broken toe in January before he returned, but thats a completely different sport and he got rushed back into the team despite being injured.

Marin's signing might mean Tintin will be sent out on loan next season.

A broken toe is far more problematic in Football than in Cricket, Plus Binger was used to injuries so he knew how to manage it and thus was back in the team in 10 days

If I'm not mistaken, KDB has been playing more centrally at Genk since we loaned him back. He could be used as a CAM and backup to Mata as well as a winger which is good news.

You're right, and he did amazingly well as a CAM.

I honestly think that we should to convert him in to a on of 2 cm's in the 4-2-3-1 system.

He would really need to work on the defensive aspect but the vision he has and the way he passes actually reminds of scholes, especially his long range passing. Hes so accurate with it, it's superb.

Or if we play a 4-3-3 then one of the center mids

In 4123 only if you want him CM

Like that

Cech

Iva-Luiz-Terry-Cole

Mikel

KDB-Mata

Hulk-Torres-Marin

4:3:3 has only one CDM and two attacking CMs, 4:2:3:1 has two CDMs and CAM, Kdb cant be CDM anyway...

I hope he wont be facing this injury whole career.

Any chance he could be now injury-prone like Pato?

Pato's problems are his hamstrings and knees. It is believed that Pato's injuries are caused by his body not being able to handle it's own pace. Imagine a car that drives so fast the axles always break or fall off.

Next season, we HAVE to give Kakuta, De Bryune a chance, we can't risk lack of creativity and loss everytime Mata isn't playing. With two young players like these, who can dribble ball consistent unlike Kalou, or know a pass unlike Sturridge, we have a much more stronger squad rotation, and earns us more in attack!
