Cripen 110
Swansea was different because Josh went there mid season with the club exceeding expectations and Allen and Briton having two of the best passing stats in not just the PL but all of Europe. Why would Rodgers change anything in his starting lineup especially that Josh was very "shy" in his contribution in the only game he was given a chance?Dont forget about Sigurosson, who came there in January and was amazing for Swans. Even when Swansea are leading 2-0, 3-0 in a game, he refused to bring him on every single time! Duppy Conqueror
Slam Dunk 1,442
The problem with Swansea, as mentioned above, was that Sigurdsson was so good, he and Josh couldn't play together as they were so similar in style. I know nothing of Southampton's team (especially out wide, where I assume KdB would play, as Championship teams don't generally play with a no.10). Hopefully they need a left-sided winger... But when you loan a player to another team, you don't expect him to be given time to adjust, especially if he was loaned halfway through the season. I f he does not have an almost immediate impact then the club won't give him the time and chances to prove himself simply because they won't benefit from him in the long run since he will be returning to his parent club. The problem with Swansea, as mentioned above, was that Sigurdsson was so good, he and Josh couldn't play together as they were so similar in style. If Josh was doing poorly or trying too hard to impress etc, then it is his job to guide Josh to just do his own thing, keep it simple and things like that but seems like he didn't. Never look to have full faith in him.
EdenHazard123 21
^^ Thats what I thought when Josh went to Swansea. But I was really disappointed.I don't know the qualities of McEachran, but I know he hadn't proved anything in first league football when he went to Swansea. De Bruyne is a different story: he has been the best player in the third-fourth best team in Belgium, for three years in a row! It's almost impossible he wont succeed in a team like Southampton. Southampton is not that much better than Genk, but the good thing will be that he can play against Man U and Arsenal, instead of Westerlo and OH Leuven. It will be very good for his development. The last year as a CENTER (so not attacking) midfielder (however with a player next to him that was a bit more defensive than him), which he did phe-no-me-nal. Maybe his best position is the 10, but he's also capable to play reaaally good at the 8. Slam Dunk, DYC. and mist~~

I'm not sure if Chelsea would ever use him in that position though (I doubt it), which was why i'd have imagined that he'd be playing as a winger for Southampton (or whoever he joins on loan). chelseasince68 21
Now Brendon is the manager at the Dipperdome do you think he'll be asking to loan a few of our squad players. I think it's good of Chelsea to help out the litte clubs. If Brendon does well at te Dipperdome he will be well on course to manage a Big club next

Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
Shame had hopes he'd stay but anyways he looks like ultimate replacement for Malouda. And with marko Marin I think those two are great sources of competition for hulk and Mata and hulk? Theyveill all play games but atleast no one is a untouchable witch was case for Malouda and Anelka. We all knew they would start game in game out. Kdb hopefully shows how much of boss he is on loan in epl and shows confidence in his abilities. What if him an lukaku were loaned to same team?? Damn.................
Strike 7,489
i would much rather keep him here than loan him to a premship team. unless we retain benayoun, we dont have a back-up for mata at CAM and given how mata's stamina is questioned and our hectic schedule for next season, he would get game-time here

CHOULO19 24,332
^^I think Kevin's future is at CM. He has the vision, passing skills, and defensive abilities to be great there. I haven't watched him for full 90 mins excpet against us, so I can't judge his positional and tactical awareness yet.

Though I was thinking more of De Bruyne and Mikel/Romeu.frank will be the first choice for this season atleast. whether we like it or not. so i would prefer ramires over mikel alongside him because that way we get a different dimension to our attack and an extra option for mata to pick out while at the same time, he has the stamina and pace to recover.de bruyne should be incorporated into the first team this season and from 2013 or 14 he can become the first choice if he can prove his worth

I even remember reading that he said so.Ramires I really don't think he can play CM in the 4-2-3-1 especially along side Lamps. Frank, despite his excellent performances there, is not a DM, he cannot cover for Ramires' runs forward especially that he will be looking to make forward runs himself. The Lamps-Mikel partnership turned our season around and, imo, was the key element in winning the two cups. I'd keep it for another year. TorontoChelsea
