Madinmex 3
There is no way JT is going to receive anything but abuse from other clubs and therefore IMO (as he has decided not to appeal) this is the correct statement and one you can be sure the club had a hand in. He made his point about 'context', apologized, praised the club and just MAYBE placated some about the language he admitted to using. It will be difficult for the rags to pick holes in that. As for the clubs reaction, which again will be subject of the rags rants, why not suspend him for the next 4 games .. job done. What really pees me of is not only the racist angle, (and this must apply to all interpretations of the word, not just colour,) but the language in general used to officials which certainly do not need a 'lip reader' to understand what is being said and seen by millions !! The "respect campaign" is supposed to include all aspects of the game. I'd love to see the police, or the FA deluged with complaints via youtube or other media as to what goes on with every game. dumps 284
I think we all knew even if he appealed that he would still get the 4 match ban, but dont know why they didnt appeal so he was available to play against spurs.Oh well, Cahill's time to shine. may even see Ivanovic back at CB and Azpi getting a run out at RB. Fulham Broadway 17,311
He can have a nice holiday now. Before that hope hes on the squad bench at Sp*rs and he can come on at the end to celebrate the win
ChelseaChelsea68 53
Well done Sir John Terry, no poinjt in appealing he was never going to get a fair hearing.I think Sir John has been guilty of being stupid letting a total loser like Anton wind him up.With what happned to Danny Rose in Serbia on Tuesday I find it difficult to say both are Racist incidents.JT's was name calling at worst..so what? I'm sorry but we have all been called names at some time ..get a life. What Danny Rose (and others) had to endure was unacceptable no question, but what will Serbia punishment be? not as much as JT's i expect.Fact that Sir John won't be a 3 Point Lane on Saturday will take the edge of them brain dead Spuds fans. Will be a tough game but we can win
CHOULO19 24,332
The Board has conducted its own investigation into the matter, and considered the various issues involved. The Board has taken further disciplinary action in addition to the four-match suspension and £220,000 fine imposed by the FA. In accordance with our long-standing policy, that disciplinary action will remain confidential. From the club's statement on the matter: http://www.chelseafc...t-on-john-terryWhat do you reckon that is? Arse spanking?

Jase 43,479
Not too surprised by his decision. Arguably the best course of action(doesn't mean he's guilty!) and time to move on from this issue. His 4-game ban means he will definitely play against Shakhtar next week.
Jase 43,479
This is rather farcical. Media making noise about the club keeping quiet about the punishment on Terry.http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8175490/Kick-It-Out-criticise-Chelsea-for-keeping-punishment-of-John-Terry-secretFootball equality group Kick It Out have criticised Chelsea over their decision to keep the punishment of John Terry secret. After the Chelsea captain announced that he would not be appealing the four-match ban and £220,000 fine handed to him by the FA for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, his club said that they had taken "further disciplinary action" against Terry, but would not be revealing the details due to club policy.Lord Herman Ousley, chairman of Kick It Out, said that he believed the stance would damage the club in the eyes of the public, who wanted to see the measures they would take."I believe Chelsea need to be open about the action they have taken," Lord Ousley stated."A lot of people will be dissatisfied that Chelsea have not been much more up front about the standards they set and the values they have."If they are not prepared to say, it will further damage the trust of those people who still have suspicions about Chelsea's sincerity in dealing with this matter."A lot of people will be dissatisfied that Chelsea have not been much more up front about the standards they set and the values they have."If they are not prepared to say, it will further damage the trust of those people who still have suspicions about Chelsea's sincerity in dealing with this matter."I do welcome that they have said, but they need to be saying more and doing more if they are going to win back the confidence of people who have lost trust in them rather than to sit back and be silent." zolayes 14,489
Saw this earlier..Food for thought?NO ...there has been a concerted campaign by those with a political agenda ,,, Terry deserves the support from the Clubs and the fansAND from fair minded people. It seems to have been ignored that he was getting personal abuse from Anton Ferdinand during the game
CHOULO19 24,332
Saw this earlier..Food for thought? No. What people are missing is that John Terry was NOT found guilty of racially abusing Ferdinand. He was found guilt of using racial terms in an unknown context. Moreover, the whole issue was made this big just because it was JT. Players use abusive language ion the pitch all the time. Just look at what Ferdinand admitted to have said in court. The FA only charged Terry to save their face; if they cared about the image of the game they would have charged Anton as well.
