John Terry: Racist slur?

To show a picture of you - when you're accused of being racist - with a dark skinned child is as shameful as to merely be a racist, in my opinion. That's propaganda.

Granted for the case of John Terry, the "idea" doesn't seem to come from him, but from some journos. But in Suarez' case... That's disgusting.

JT takes thousands of pics with fans, I seriously doubt he, or the club would be stupid enough to stage the photo or purposely put it out as if it proves something. Daily Mail on the other hand...

Yeah. I've already said in one of my posts, that the idea of posting this picture on a newspaper or whatsoever doesn't seem to come from Terry/the club. I was targetting Suarez' case, who has done a meeting to show up an old photograph of him with a dark skinned kid.

I know people that were on the train. It was just the 'Anton Ferdinand, you know what you are' song.

Also Met police have told some fans I know to keep their heads down at QPR, the police are going to be really over the top. Anyone heard singing the above song will be arrested.

How the fuck can action be taken about that? There's not even a nasty or racist word there. Yes they know what it means but that's not the point at all. Looking forward to hearing a few thousand sing it next weekend because at the end of the day, that could mean absolutely anything.

Bit nervous about the hearing on Feb 1st because i think JT will be banned for a while and it could be the main reason we got Cahill, to replace him for the best part of 10 games. If Suarez got banned for 8 games for an event nowhere near as hyped up, JT could get 10+.

You should consult with your constitution and use it for your defence. I'm pretty sure your constitution protects your freedom, especially taking it away by singing a harmless line.

On one hand I don't think the police have the right to arrest those people since they are not actually saying anything racist. It's a violation to their freedom of speech.

On the other hand, it is absolutely pointless, in my opnion, to sing those chants that are doing no favours to our club and captain.

True but it happens with every club at some point..each has its fair share of twattish fans that make a situation worse...just with us at the moments seems to be highlighted more.Doubt Spurs Stewards are still going around with cameras on their heads

And with the Liverpool situation and their fan and the Oldham?Player..some of their supporters were making out like it was the players fault for taking it to personal!

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho leads a trio of big football names who are giving John Terry character witness support ahead of his trial for allegedly using racist language towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

Terry’s one-time Chelsea bosses Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti, now at Paris Saint-Germain, and the England captain’s ex-Stamford Bridge team-mate Marcel Desailly are giving witness statements claiming they have no knowledge of him ever behaving in a racist way.

Ancelotti and Desailly have already sent in their signed documents, with Mourinho’s agreed statement just awaiting his signature.

The three key witnesses have indicated they are prepared to appear in court if called by Terry’s defence team.

Terry is charged with a racially aggravated public order offence following allegations that he directed a racist comment at Ferdinand in Chelsea’s Premier League defeat at QPR last October. The preliminary hearing is at West London Magistrates’ Court a week today. The case will be adjourned, with Terry not making an appearance in court next week.

The leading QC representing Terry, in a case where the maximum fine is £2,500, is John Cooper, a specialist in human rights and the chairman of the League Against Cruel Sports.
