I think that Cahill would be a fantastic addition, however unnecessary.

I think that Alex could move on to Bayern, might not get a new RB so Iva is there, and could push Luiz to DM.

As said before we don't need a CB we need a RB if anything. How he can say we need a CB is beyond me UNLESS he is planning to let one go. Ivan,Alex,Luiz,Terry are all CB's. Alex and Terry is my first choice.

Glad someone agrees with me. The £17m price quoted for Gary Cahill is absolutely ridiculous, however good he's been for Bolton.

For any side challenging for that 4th place, Scott Dann at £7-10m would be a very good signing. Its no surprise that Birmingham struggled so badly when he got injured.

However, with the four we've got currently, then definitely not an option for Chelsea.

Terry , Luiz are a great partnership in defense , with Alex and Iva we have 2 great CBs who can easily step into many top teams used as subs .

In-fact we might find it hard to keep those 2 satisfied on the bench and i expect alex to want out by the end of next season . and some expect us to add another CB.

Terry is 30 for god sake , For a CB that should be his best years and he is gonna start his decline after 33 or may be with his spirit he can be another Maldini but may be that is too wishful .

I can assure you all , We will NOT sign any defenders this summer and if we did it will be a RB not a CB .

TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea Boss Keen To Replace David Luiz

Andre Villa-Boas would have no problems selling Brazilian defender David Luiz, according to reports.

The new Chelsea boss would loss no sleep selling the 24-year old who only arrived at Stamford Bridge in January from Benfica. Despite the club paying around £23million for the defender just six months ago, Villa-Boas wants a British defender who can command both boxes.

The News of the World reports that Villa-Boas isn’t convinced by Luiz and could leave this summer to pave way for Birmingham’s Scott Dann, Bolton’s Gary Cahill or Everton’s Jack Rodwell.

The only Chelsea centre half who isn’t at risk of being sold is club captain John Terry. Barcelona have been linked with the former Benfica defender who has been identified as a long term replacement for Barca legend Carlos Puyol.

Puyol now 33 is thought to be in his last few years as a Catalan and reports suggest he could retire as soon as next summer.
