HNKS 508
If he wants over 50K in wages and a Starting spot, than I hope we don't buy him. He's acting like a Brat. His agent had one fucking meeting with chelsea.
Tomo 21,751
Why should he hold the cards anyway? He is at a club threatened with relegation and one of the best teams in the land want him? How the fuck is he holding the cards he should be desparate to join us.We should call his bluff and offer him a 40k deal and if he proves himself in the next year and a half then a payrise, if he says no tell him to fuck off and go for Roger Johnson. If we want to get rid off our reputation of being took for a ride then bending over to Cahil's wage demands is the worst thing we can possibly do. The Standard says he wants £90 000 a week.If any of it is true -embarassing that negotiations are done in public
termninja 5,290
Imagine Luiz and Cahill starting the match for us. Defenders would piss their pants as they both score like bloody strikers XD
chrismada9 1,948
I've just seen an article in the Daily Express that Cahill is "having second thoughts" on coming to Chelsea because he is upset that his wage demands have gone public! zolayes 14,489
sick of this saga ...lets just offer him everything he wants ,,make him captain as well ...oh and give an extra large bonus to his agent
BlueLion. 21,491
This media speculation is all bollocks, they are just playing on what Villas-Boas said. As Own Coyle points out, it is a busy period for both clubs, so we can expect the deal to be done in the next 72 hours.

Sheva. 5,373
I feel sorry for him, some people already 100% believe the things said in the papers about him.
Marvin123 534
Of course he's linked with Chelsea so media will rip him apart! But he will join this club and become an important player for us and become a solid starter for England!
SeB 1,281
According to Martin Lipton, it will be announced tomorrow
Luke 60
Never believe anything in the papers, especially The Sun... They're only running that story after Jones own goal last night lol. Newspapers are so predictable.Cahill will be a good signing all round, he is a young talented player, and he deserves to be playing at the top level of European football, win win. Kostas 1,468
Don't see how his wages could be a problem. Tying him up for 5 years at 50k p/w is a great deal considering his age and whether we'll want him after the contract runs out.

Marvin123 534
can't ever remember us agreeing fee with the club then having difficulty agreeing terms with the playerThe players feel as though they should be compensated for the 50% tax they now have to pay! Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
Ain't believing anything anymore, I wants. Hear it from the horse's mouth!! Lol! What really is pissin me off is that we don't know how to close any DAMN transfer!! People we've talked to Cahill, a.perriera, kdb, pastors and more. Now we don't have to necessarily outbid the opponent but when we are the ONLY ones vying for their sig, get the job done, especially the case o kdb! But no, let's wait till Jan 27 after our defense concedes more goals and midfield plays the same unimaginative style and strikers produce more blanks to finally pull the triger!!! CHOULO19 24,332
I don't think it is the first time that we go through this kind of "negotiations" with a player we are signing, its just the first time that everything went public in the papers. zolayes 14,489
I can't believe they could play him in the cup ,,,If we then pulled the plug on the deal he would leave on a free in the summer..Also dont believe we would put him on 100 000 a week
