Popular Post! TorontoChelsea 4,064 Posted January 5, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted January 5, 2013 To deny a teammate a hattrick on his debut is about selfish as it gets. Disgraceful even in my honest opinion.I don't give a shit about his goal record if it comes to the detriment of team morale and eventually team performances. This guy is supposed to be a leader, he gets credit for being one of the most experienced players but that right there showed a level of selfishness that would get someone like Sturridge physically assaulted. How the hell does it hurt team morale? This is absolutely rubbish your'e posting. You think Ba is sitting around thinking "I didn't score a hat-trick, I suck?" You think players don't have confidence in Ba because he only scored two goals? It literally makes no difference and in a week, nobody except you will even be talking about it. If Ba had wanted it, how would THAT not be selfishness? Taking a goal away from someone chasing the Chelsea goal-scoring record so you can have some personal glory in a 5-1 FA Cup game? Lampard is our penalty taker and Lampard earned the penalty himself. Even if he weren't chasing the record, it's his to take. You're just being ridiculous. super_frank8, Milan, chelseathebest and 3 others
didierforever 7,349
well... he kind of didn't, but well. who remember all of those 8 goals.let Frankie take it. he's the penalty taker and that's it. if he managed to break the goal record at our club, he would forever cement his place as Chelsea's greatest.he did let DD take the 2nd penalty... Milan 17,956
After refusing to let him take the first one. you and Manuf here just remember what you want to rememberagainst Wigan, he took the first penalty because it was only 1-0 and he was our regular penalty taker. As Drogba said afterwards - 'business comes first'. He was happy to let Drogba take the second one.
Styles 9,790
you would hardly get a bigger DD fan than me but would u have let DD take the penalty to go 2-0 up on match day 38. what if our no.1 penalty taker had given it to DD who had missed it and we had drawn the match 1-1 to lose the EPL... i myself believe what lamps did today was a bit selfish but this scenario was hardly an act of selfishness.Right because Drogba would definitely have missed. No chance he would have scored that. Lampard is the only player who would have scored that penalty. Drogba was an excellent penalty taker if you hadn't noticed. Remember Munich? What if Portsmouth equalised after Lampard missed the penalty in the FA Cup Final and then when on to win the game? See I can play this game too. Bosnian Blue 2,471
Take it easy, Demba will get his goals in the future. He's here for at least three and a half years, Frank's gone in six months. Remember ?
Stats 7,142
I know this will upset some of you but I think it was an absolute disgrace that he didn't let Ba take that penalty. Our new striker on a hattrick on his debut and he didn't let him take it. That for me goes down as one of the most selfish things I've ever seen in the game. When he eventually leaves in the summer I'll remember things like that and I won't shed a tear.I understand where you are coming from but Ba alone will be happy that he got 2 goals on his debut and will understand the importance to Lamps and Chelsea fans that we all want to see him reach that goal tally. See I can play this game too.what the hell are u talking about dude? who is chelsea's no.1 penalty taker in any situation when he is on the pitch? FRANK LAMPARD... it was wrong of DD to ask him for the penalty in that situation... as soon as the match was done and dusted lamps himself took the ball and gave DD the ball. when u r the no.1 penalty taker it is always your decision to either take it or give it. lamps has the responsiblity of thinking of the team rather than a personal record. and on that day he was totally justified.today not so much.. Rubber bullets 1,183
Lol, Lampard scores the fifth goal from a penalty (which souldn't have even been give to begin with, it hit he defender's chest) and some people show that they care more about him breaking the record then the team winning while others complain Ba didn't take it. Styles 9,790
Lampard has a selfish streak and has done for years. I tell you what there has been plenty of times when he has ignored a better placed teammate to smack one from 25 yards. At least Ba showed a little class today and let him have it instead of asking for it.I doubt some of you were into football back in these days but watch this
