Azpinator 2,325
I will say this forever: Frank Lampard is an absolute LEGEND. He's one of the reasons I started supporting Chelsea and I'm happy for him the most. And that moment when he sends a message to his girls on tv is one of the greates things, it makes me remember why I support this big club. It's the passion, spirit and effort that we see in every season. I'm so proud to be a Chelsea fan.

Wilson 358
According to Sky Sports News, Lampard has 187 goals? I seen it because they were showing stats and how many goals Drogba scored for us. So the penalty must have counted? Unless we have fucked up. Or incredibly, SSN fucked up!
Jase 43,479
Is Lampard's contract expiring next summer? Any chance of the club extending it??
CHOULO19 24,332
Is Lampard's contract expiring next summer? Any chance of the club extending it??I think he will definitely get an extension. But the club will probably take it year by year from now on.

KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
If we're crying this much over The Drog, imagine what it will be like when Frank retires. We'll be suicidal. Hopefully that's at least 2-3 years away.

Joker10 946
Is Lampard's contract expiring next summer? Any chance of the club extending it??Yeah his contract expires next summer. It will be interesting to see if it happens, i think it depends more on Lampard then Chelsea. If he has a lesser role next season, i think it is less likely he stays. He will have major offers abroad.

Joker10 946
Gawd, I hope not!I hope not either, he played his best football in the double pivot this season. I think if RDM stays or another manager who continues the 4-2-3-1 then i think he can extend his career.
RamiCFC9 258
I hope he signs an extention but for less money, something like 80,000 per week will be good.
Popular Post! Blue Armour 4,442 Posted May 24, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted May 24, 2012 'Drogba the best I've played with.' “I didn’t see Didier get too many mentions when they were voting for the Premier League team of the past 20 years.“Maybe that’s because people like to make a fuss about the other side of his game. But having played with him for the last eight years I tell you without a doubt that he’s the best striker I’ve ever played with.“His all-round game is absolutely immense and what happened in Munich on Saturday night just confirmed what I have always believed about him.“He should be right up there with Henry, Rooney and Bergkamp among the all-time greats.“Didier is going to leave a massive hole at our club but I love him as a bloke and I can’t be disappointed he’s leaving because he deserves everything he gets.“He deserves to go out on a massive finish like this and I just wish him all the best. It’s been an absolute pleasure to play with him and I’m sure he’ll make the right decision about his next move.“Everything he said in his farewell Press conference on Tuesday showed him to be an absolute gentleman and a great bloke.”Lampard admitted he almost inadvertently denied Drogba his moment of glory at the Allianz Arena when the striker equalised with a bullet header against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.Lamps said: “I was at the near post and felt a ‘whoosh’ come right past my head.“It’s a good job I didn’t get anything on it because I’d have flicked it over the bar or something.“I was watching his first Chelsea goal against Crystal Palace on Sky the other morning and it reminded me just how well he attacks the ball.“I remember at the time thinking ‘this fella doesn’t half power it’ and now he’s gone and scored a goal like that in the Champions League final in his last game.“Without that goal, we lose the final. It just shows how much Didier has brought to our club over the years.”Lampard, 33, is now the senior statesman in the Chelsea squad. But he still has another year of his contract to run and has no intention of bowing out despite finally achieving Champions League success. He told talkSPORT: “It’s slowly sinking in just what we’ve achieved.“It’s been such a long time coming and every year we’ve been asked ‘is this the one that’s going to elude you?’ And, if you’re honest, you do start to wonder if you will miss out.“I’m 33, Didier’s 34 and it’s well documented we’ve got a few older boys in the team.“The Champions League gets harder every year, Barcelona and Real Madrid have improved.“So the fact that we’ve finally won it with that kind of performance is something very special to all of us.“To be captain on the night was extra special. I’m always pleased to wear the armband when JT’s not playing but it’s not a massive ego thing for me.“But on a night like that, when you lead the team and take responsibility on the pitch and realise how important it was for the club, yes, it was huge for me.“I don’t really remember much of the match. It’s all a bit fuzzy in the mind. I remember the celebrations and the end part, but not all of it.“I watched bits of it on German TV at six in the morning but I’d like to get a DVD to watch every bit of it and take it all in. I can remember Arjen Robben’s penalty miss. That was the moment when we really started to believe.“When the ref gave the penalty I was thinking ‘oh no, not another one where we’ve fallen at the last hurdle’.“But David Luiz kept saying to me ‘believe, believe, he’s going to miss it’. And he did.“I’ve been in situations like that myself. The longer the gap between the award and the penalty being taken, the more the pressure builds.Arjen Robben and Petr Cech were best buddies at our club and know each other so well.“So Robben’s got a lot of things going through his mind and then he’s got John Obi Mikel in his ear telling him he’s going to miss. It all adds up.”At least Lampard held his nerve in the penalty shootout, sparking two days of wild celebrations after Drogba had despatched the winning spot-kick.Lamps added: “I saw the pictures in the papers of our celebrations and I’ve got my eyes half closed in most of them. I look like my dad after he’s had a few!“But we’ve waited so long for this moment that there would be something wrong with me if I didn’t have a couple of days celebrating it.” Rambo, Madmax, Sheva. and 2 others
