Justin_3d 1,140
Lamps - Experience is keyLampard was also coy on whether Di Matteo, who has made a sensational start to life in the Stamford Bridge hotseat with three straight wins, should be considered as a full-time successor to Villas-Boas."That's for the club to decide," Lampard said. "He's done very well and he's had three wins out of three, so fair play to him."Robbie is a very 'Chelsea' man and he's shown that with his heart on his sleeve."He deserves that celebration."http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7598887/I said it before, it is a shame that Lampard loss some respect with the fans for his problem with AVB but he still is a legend for me.I don't see Lampard as a coach like Terry can be, but he also must be some sort of assistant to the team.Is the time for Chelsea players to managed Chelsea! Is happening with RDM, even though he was not part of the Roman revolution, but this should be the start. Justin_3d 1,140
Good fucking god NO!Well I sure want it. I am tired with all the Mourinho ghost. It will never be with any new manager except that it comes from a Chelsea old boy.We would support them and give them more slack then any other manager.I sure would love to see this. And heck, look at how much Roman spends on sacking manager? Close to 100 mill pound, surely this alternative is cheaper.

You have to get rid of that core to vanish the ghost. Its as simply as that.Letting the players take over (even if they have all but in name) will just seeing that core benefit them only. Plus these players are too egotistical and immature to manage a club.To be honest I just want them to be ridden from the club and give this club a new fresh identity. Moving to new pastures and actually enter a new era, not holding on to old memories with this old lot.

The whole idea of a slow transitional period where you keep some older players while breeding new ones is no longer availabe. We should have started when Scolari took over, but players got rid of him, Hiddink just used Jose tactics, Carlo was never the man to change the squad (and never dared think about dropping the underperforming old guard) and now wee have a cabal of players who have too much power and are to toxic. We must have radical change or suffer like this and last seasonAnd I find it ironic that you go on about how AVB had no experience as manager, but you want to give the job to a bunch of egotistical bastards who's only "experience" in management is throwing their toys out of the pram when they don't get their own way. And besides when you have an uber team all you need to do is motivate them.

Who for 2 seasons now have gone through long periods of pure crap. Winless streaks where we are 5th and now have to pray we can set up a run that just makes us safe for next year CL. These players are unreliable, and these players are too hostile to change and are the problem. We need to get rid of the problem. Spike 12,049
I'm just glad I was not one of the many fans that turned on him and vilified him as quickly as they did. A lot of people just went nuts, it is kind of shameful that we can turn on our own players like that. Blue Armour
termninja 5,290
As I always said, don't be quick to judge as you can't know what is happening behind the scenes. I love Lamps and I really liked AVB and really wanted him to stay. It didn't happen, but it was Andre who was supposed to win over the dressing room, not get in trouble with them. Some things he said in the press were supposed to stay in the club. You come in as someone who was a scout here before, never played professional football, is 33 years old with 2 managerial years and drop one of the best midfielders in the 21st century, one of our key players because of your so called long term plans? Tough position to gain respect and support and AVB didn't help himself either. The thing that started it all I believe was the Arsenal match. Lost to those twats 3-5 on Stamford Bridge due to tactics. Who chooses tactics? AVB so his mistake. Didn't go well with players...Whenever he gave a chance to Lamps he did alright, assists and goals even when he was not playing well. Scored a few vitals goals also. So obviously when results aren't going our way and he is on the bench he won't be happy. Especially if he loves Chelsea to bits and has done so much for the club. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to see him benched rested. It benefited his game.Imagine if we missed the top4. Financial trouble for fair play rules, media wanking all over us and all our transfer targets like Hazard would only remain a dream.I will be honest here, Andre has started to remind me a lot of Wenger. It started to scare me a bit. Always a ref's fault, media against you, there is always an excuse, we were better then opposition but lost anyway, laughable defense...it started to annoy me. Imagine the players...I'm sad he left and that it didn't work out, but perhaps the board didn't have any choice. Try to look at it from a different angle. That is the past now though, I support Chelsea, not a portuguese fella who was sacked by the club. I wished him all the best and now I want to see Chelsea do 3 things and that is to win, win and win. The club made a decision, I'm sad it happened but it happened anyway...Don't let the media turn you against one of the best players in our history that gave so much to this club, they are the media, they make extreme out of ordinary. Their anti Chelsea record doesn't help them also...Keep the faith :cfc: Joker10, Swedish House Mafia, Blue Armour and 1 other

I was also upset when things didn't work out for AVB, because of his commitment, but I'm struggling to collect more arguments in his favor.Like Alex Ferguson said about his sacking, : "Its sad, but in this day and age results are very important". Bottom-line is, for a club (or should I say company) like Chelsea its unrealistic to have someone given time like Ferguson was given.
