Rafa was not a very good decision to hire him, from the fans point of view he is not the answer & the management knows he is gone by the summer.

I believe, Chelsea are just biding their time & waiting for a new coach. Once the new coach is hired, the team will consult with him & sign new players, then.

You do not need 21 world class stars in a squad to win things. You need 3 to 5 real stars and solid back up throughout. There are what, 30 players out on loan? and people are talking about us buying in the next few days

I think if we don't sign anyone then its a definite sign that rafa is gonna be gone in the summer, but roman and the board thinks we have enough to get the top 4. I still think we may sign someone, but our recent history of january transfers hasn't exactly been great and waiting for the summer would be the logical exception if we were nailed on for top 4, however it would be a catastrophe if we didn't get there, so i hope we do sign someone or ideally recall KDB to go straight into our first team. But time will tell.

The Mirror have reported that, Chelsea are looking to make a move for Birmingham and England U-21 keeper Jack Butland. Chelsea are reported to be preparing a £3m bid for Butland which may be accepted as Birmingham need money to avoid administration. Chelsea are among many top flight clubs interested in Butland, including Everton, Liverpool, and Southhampton, after his terrific performance at the Olympics and with Birmingham.

Chelsea want to make a move for the future at keeper, and since they could get Butland on the cheap with Birmingham strapped for cash, the Blues could want Butland for the future at goalkeeper. Thibaut Courtois, who is on loan at Atletico Madrid, is thought to be Chelsea’s long term plan after Petr Cech retires but Courtois has been drawing interest from other teams around Europe, like his current club Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Chelsea could be worried that Courtois could be tempted to make a permenent stay at Atletico or some other club and could see Butland as a low risk high reward move considering his low price tag.

Edit: Talksport now reporting talks arn't planned, so i have no idea. Everyone seems to think its done, including the bookies who had him 1/5 and then this morning withdrew the market. Anything could happen.
