2 more goals today. 12 in the Premier League. 21 in all competitions for Fulham. Also scored a winner for the USA against Italy in Genoa last week. This guy is underrated right now. His age is the only thing holding back his value.

I really hate him but he has a great season and he improves year after year at Fulham... He's on 8 goals for his last 9 Fulham games, he creates chances for fun...

I read this about him:

Your best player is Stuart Holden, imo. Wouldn't mind him in a Chelsea shirt.

I completely agree, I became a huge fan last season. Bolton's playing style and results made me starting to watch their games, I watched almost half of all their matches. It confirmed my opinion on Cahill by the way during this spell

I was really impressed by how complete he was and how central he was in Bolton's play. Muamba had a decent season, but Holden's one was magnificent.

It's not a surprise that Bolton struggle exactly since they lost Holden, it's not a surprise too if they lost so heavily versus Stoke in FA Cup within a fortnight after Holden's injury. Since Evans injured him, Bolton struggle to have a dense midfield which can also create and add movement in the play. This season, Coyle plays Muamba with two other players : Reo-Coker and Mark Davies (in CAM). It really looks like if Coyle needs two players to do what the lone Holden could: tackling (NR-C) and create (Davies).

Bolton played a very interesting pass & move game for the last months of the 2010 year, Holden was very good because he could tackle and distribute in the same time that he was mobile. He covered an enormous surface, leaving his position to ask the ball very deep (from Cahill most of the time when our current overrated number 24 gave him the ball instead kicking it as randomly as he keeps doing even now) and providing solutions in intervals in the midfield ; his runs forward to support wing players or overcrowding in the last 30m were also very interesting and reasoned .

His passing game was complete, calm, accurate ; variety and relevance in passing choices. He could also cross or shoot from distance, taking set pieces. Gifted on the ball, really pleasant to watch. Fair play, I never saw him kicking an opponent or having words with a referee. He's the versatility at his best, really can afford every role in midfield

I decided to read some stuff about him and he seems to be a genuine nice lad who didn't had luck in his early career (his first spell at Sunderland ended before it started, he lost his father...). I follow him on twitter and on facebook (we can add him as a friend, puts videos and pics from his rehabilitation)

His injury and the even more difficult decision to have a second surgery in September deleted his hopes to play this term. But he's a very good player.

To be honest when we think we were looking for a versatile midfielder, a player for the turnover during the summer and that we ended with Meireles*, I really think that if he wasn't injured we could have a chance to get him. But both Meireles and Holden are very pleasant players to watch, but for me Holden is even more complete and versatile

*Meireles is not well used this season, he's a false versatile player so he plays different roles he could have in smaller clubs or in SuperLiga (Porto fans said to me that he used to play in front of the back 4 in Portugal, this position is really far more important in England and requires tackling and impacting abilities Raul clearly doesn't have). I don't want to scapegoat him because he can do good things but not the "Lampard register" Villas Boas wanted him to take

Jol said he's not gonna play this weekend and Clint's been fined for not playing with the club or some shit. He just tweeted that there's 2 sides to the story and the truth will come out.

Fuck Moses, I want Clint!!!! Probably get him around 5 million pounds, ,aybe less because of his age and he's a malcontent.
