Hardly full of optimism. We're playing an awful, shit, boring McLeish team but this certain team seem to do pretty well against us and we're playing shit atm too. We've drawn 3 in a row, Villa have lost 2 and drawn 1 so it's gonna be cagey, tight, nervy.... think we'll just about sneak it but it wont be pretty.

My wishlist for today's match:

1. Play with passion and vigor.

2. None of this pensive, ponderous bullshit. Quick, incisive passing, and switching play. I understand there are times to slow down the tempo, but don't do it for the vast majority of the game.

3. FFS don't concede any silly goals. Concentration for the full 90.

4. Vocal home support. Create a hostile atmosphere. That Fulham match, and a few others this season, made the Bridge seem like a monastery.

Great point there. This has been a big disadvantage for us lately. I don't blame the players for not giving 100% when we are being outsung in SB. (Well I do still blame them but perhaps a bit less)

Sorry, but the players get paid a LOT so the least you can expect is that they give it a 100%. Then the supporters, who pay to watch, will sing their hearts out. Not the other way around.

I reckon that if the supporters see fire and passion the whole game, they'll sooner accept a draw/loss.

It is when the club is not doing well that the supporters are needed most. Anyone can support a club that is winning, but a true fan is the one cheering the team on when they are loosing.

I'm not talking about winning or losing. I'm talking about players giving it a 100% (or more) or not. But anyway, let's hope the fans give the players the support they need later against Villa.

I couldn't agree more! It feels so frustrating when we get out sung by the other supporters, it feels like sometimes we're playing away from home. There needs to be more passion from our own fans to get the team going.. it shows that we are giving the team our full backing!

Cheeky £2 bet on 2-1 Chels, DD11 first scorer. Returns £38!

Nice one. Good luck! I just put $5 on total goals = 3. Measly returns of $18 but thought what the heck I'll give it a go. Don't usually place bets by myself (because I'm broke lol) Usually split them with my dad.

''Fernando Torres has scored more Premier League goals for Liverpool (four) in 2011 than he has for Chelsea (three).''

BBC SPORT

How can this be true when we got Torres in January 2011 ?

We've bought him the 31 of January.
