Peace. 4,352
He had a pretty good 2nd half, 1st half was poor. This ^By the way, I feel sorry for him that his winning goal has been denied...

Dude is a football genius & I mean that as an obsolete fact. I wouldn't be surprised if no one else could wear #8 for this club after Supa leaves. This guy will be hard to replace & IMHO Luka won't be able to wear Supa's shoes.

BlueLion. 21,491
Frank came through with flying colours last night; certainly his best performance for a while. He is past his peak, but he can still play a pivotal role for us.
GodZola 630
Catch 22 for super Frank at the mo, he needs to find some consistency but to do that he has to play & unfortunately for Frank he is no longer untouchable. That said I thought he had a decent game last night & certainly didn't deserve to be substituted. One thing I will add is Frank is a consummate professional, instead of throwing his toys out of the pram ala Tevez, he done extra training, praised the club & fans, respected AVB's decision - just the sought of reaction you would expect from a great player, his self drive & determination to get back in the side is an example to all young players but especially Tevez. The media circus surrounding our club is a complete joke but like Torres, I hope Frank gets the opportunitys to prove them wrong. CHOULO19 24,332
Come on.Players shouldn't be picked on reputation. So, you think he should always be in the starting 11?No but the media would have him retire immediately and claim that he no longer has a place at chelsea. He still has a lot to give to the team, his experience alone is a great weapon. He should be part of our rotation in the midfield just like everybody else; He should start in some matches and be benched for others. I think he showed in Valencia that if he is rested for a game, he can perform well in the next.

teignman 441
I've noticed in the past few matches or so that Frank has been moving much better. More fluidity and maybe almost a little more pace. During the past year or so he moved like his boots were made of lead.

Madmax 9,219
Find it funny typical for the media to focus on his exclusion against Swansea while completely ignoring the supreme effort it takes to be part of a 10 man side for 73 minutes against PL opposition just 3 days earlier. Maybe, just maybe, AVB got it right against Swansea and it was precisely the rest at the weekend that enabled Frank to play the way he did at Valencia? You won't hear/read a word about it.On his first half performance, can't believe it's being described as "poor". LCM doesn't entail attacking all the time, he kept their creative midfielders quiet and it was clearly a part of the plan. But scapegoating him has become a favourite passtime so can't pretend it's entirely surprising.
Fulham Broadway 17,311
I feel the media have some kind of agenda with Frank anyway, just jumping on the back of the anti-Chelsea/Frank/JT England mong fans.Of course he's coming to the twilight of his career - he's 33!!I don't remember this type of character assasination when Giggs/Scholes were being 'rested' for games. When Fergie does it he's a man management specialist that gets the best out of his players and preserves them. When AVB does it - Frank's over the hill/finished etc......He was rested at home to Swansea before a testing CL away game to Valencia ffs! Does the media really think that we need Frank to beat Swansea at home?

The detractors will be crawling back into their flea pits, well done Frankie. Now that Frank & Torres has shut them up I wonder whose next on their hit list? manpe 10,861
Tabloid junk must feel so embarassed now... Frank isn't the type of guy who will sulk and cry over petty shit media accused him of. He is the kind of guy who talks on the pitch, and his response in footballing terms has been equal to his rant in LBC radio (if you lot remember that). We owe some gratitude to them actually I feel Maybe without their shitstorm Lampsy wouldn't have tried so hard to shut them up... who knows.
